TVWI: Syndicators pick up Star Play

Star Play is an unsold game show pilot hosted by Tom Kennedy, announced by Rod Roddy, produced by Carol Burnett and Tom Kennedy and it was released in 1988.

In 1988, MCA TV had an offer to clear many stations, which included WWOR-TV in New York City to pick up Star Play for the 1989-90 season.

The format is about contestants and celebrity guests play a charades to win over 100 points.

Ultimately, the show was cancelled in 1990, due to very weak ratings. The show however marked as Tom Kennedy's 16th game show.

Heather Day) is Now Hosting along with Cindy Stark, Eddie O'Neill and Heather Henderson (a.k.a. Baby Heather) before the Cartoon Express, A Year Later after the Show Is Cancelled, USA Network would've picked it up right before Dance Party USA instead of reruns of the ABC Sitcom Just The Ten of Us starring Bill Kirchenbauer IOTL.
