Banko is a 1985 unsold pilot hosted by Wink Martindale, announced by Charlie O'Donnell, produced by Barry & Enright Productions and it was taped for first run syndication in late 1985.
Shortly after Colbert Television Sales took over distribution rights to Banko from Fox in June 1986, Colbert picked up WOR-TV, as well as KTHT, and other afiliated stations such as KOFY-TV, San Francisco and ready for a September 15, 1986 start date. Two months after its premiere, Access Syndication merged with Colbert Television Sales which however took over distribution of Banko.
Banko's ratings didn't do well after its first season, ultimatelly cancelled in the summer of 1987.
