$50,000 a Minute is an unsold game show pilot hosted by Geoff Edwards and Meredith MacRae, announced by Jack Clark, produced by Bob Stewart and it was taped in 1985.

ABC however picked up the show, and it was considered to replace All-Star Blitz, but in the 11th hour, $50,000 a Minute was to replace repeats of the sitcom Angie. And as a result, the show aired at 11:00am, right before All-Star Blitz.

A few months after the show premiered, and after Jack Clark's resigning from Pyramid, Jack Clark was replaced as announcer by Johnny Gilbert, who also announced such other shows as Jeopardy!, The $25,000/$100,000 Pyramid and Headline Chasers. And as a result, $50,000 a Minute could be Jack Clark's last game show he announced for Bob Stewart Productions.

$50,000 a Minute
was canned on January 3, 1986, and it was set to replace the show with Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak, a Reg Grundy production.
