Of course I love my own creation, how could I not? But my project has been from the start haphazard and improvisatory considering that it is through doing it that I have been learning how to do it, and that it is only through articulating it that I have been able to figure out what it is I want to say. Starting it, I didn't even know how to create maps and such. Starting over, I would probably even choose a different title.

By contrast, Gonzaga's timeline has the benefit of much more careful planning. And I have to say that the device of using the voices of well-known twentieth century intellectuals to discuss its events is rather elegant. How am I to compete with someone who uses Lorca and de Beauvoir as his reporters?

That said, I am very thankful to the people who voted for my timeline, and to the people who have been contributing their knowledge and insights to it in the comments. What virtues it has belongs to you all, and what faults it has belongs solely to myself.

But all the same, I would like to extend my best wishes to Gonzaga for his excellent work.

And that's my campaign. :)

Yep, I wonder who the swing voter will be...

I think this would be a good time to campaign
