I still think the Two Georges book he wrote with Richard Dreyfus is underrated. The story is slow moving but I love the world he built and I wish he had done more with it.

There's (ironically enough) a very fun ASB TL on this very site where OTL America gets ISOTed to the Two Georges universe and steamrolls the established world powers because of much more advanced technology and military doctrine.

I would like to write fan fiction in the Turtledove Two Georges universe. I think there is a lot of potential there.

The first alternate history book I read was Conquistador. That was fun.

I think Turtledove's take on Custer is entertaining. My gracious, he made Canada a bleak place.

What he did to Jimmy Carter was kind of horrific but interesting reading.
