What if some or all of the capital ships under construction for foreign navies that Britain seized for the Royal Navy at the start of World War One had been built as battlecruisers instead of battleships? The Kongo had been built in Britain for export, and the HMS Erin, HMS Canada, and HMS Agincourt each had a unique genesis so it seems superficially plausible at least one of them could be designed as a battlecruiser in an ATL.
What kind of design would the battlecruiser(s) be built to? How useful would they be to the Battle Cruiser Squadron? "Beatty gains three Kongos at Jutland" sounds a bit like a Brit-wank, so realistically what could happen?
