Tsar Alexander Vs Metternich in a duel?

Interestingly Tsar Alexander intended to challenge Prince Metternich to a duel during the Congress of Vienna. He even went to Emperor Francis and demanded his way. Unfortunately the duel never took place :( and their anger was eventually calmed after Napoleon's return from Elba and the hundred days. But what if the duel took place? What would happen if the Tsar died? Metternnich? Who would be the replacement? How would this change the land claims of post Napoleonic France?

At first glance the idea is interesting, but it's just too improbable to amount to anything much. There are compelling reasons for why there has not been a duel between a world famous statesman and world famous monarch in the past two centuries or so. If it was pressed more, it's likely that Metternich would just refuse and use it as one more reason to discredit the Russians.
