Trotsky detained in Nova Scotia indefinately

So I was chatting with a professor today and discovered how Trotsky was interend in Nova Scotia by the Brits for a month before being sent on to Russia.

Without this key ally I'm curious to see if the board thinks Lenin would still have been able to pull of the Bolshevik revolution or if he would fail to launch his program?
 
Don't get Lev into contact with French-Canadian nationalists, that's for sure. Who knows what direction people like Henri Bourassa and Lionel Groulx would take if someone like Lev was on board.
