Topographic Worlda Map

This is a open invitation to any and all who wish to contribute to a future of maps series with a conscious use of geographic features, mountains, valleys, plateaus, etc. I was hoping we can start with extreames such as -200 to 4500 meters, then we work the "in-betweens".

What I would guess we need is a made topographic map in a similar style of Worlda. All sugestions are welcomed.

Please comment, even if its to say ts a bad idea.
We would need to turn this into something much like a raised relief map

Start out with a simple outline vut you have to start bottom up.

Well how many ... steps(altitude) would you think this map should have?
Once I get that I'll see what I can do.
Oh!, and feel free to Pm me if you need to.

Start at every thousand then 500 and then 100 feet. I would suggest finding a similar sized map and layering it photoshop or a similar program to so it could be done easily

Gryphon's done some work towards this already, so here's what I'm pretty sure is the most recent progress posted. California's rediculously complex hence the unfinished state.

Glad you remembered.

Unfortunately, since then, I haven't had, at any one time, all three of time, inclination and materials to do much more than that. So if anyone else wants to take up the charge, be my guest.

Would you mind if I copyed your map I'm hoping to add alittle bit more to it over all and it seems your colour scheme really just looks damn good.

Go ahead.

Here's the unfinished world map, with a nice key provided by Odysseus. (NOTE: This is NOT the latest Worlda basemap revision.)

I'm probably going to continue work on it over time, but I'm certainly not going to begrudge someone else doing the hard work.

And now it is :)
Have I ever told you that you're a wonderful human being? If I haven't, I'm saying it now. If I have, I'm saying it again. You're a wonderful human being. (Unless of course you aren't a human being, in which case, you're a wonderful whatever you happen to be.)

Haha, thanks :D Though you yourself are made of pure awesomeness for even starting the topo map :)
