Tolkien lives longer

So, IOTL Tolkien lived to be 73 but what if he lived to be. . . I dunno, ninety-something? Over a hundred?

What happens?

I can forseen innombrable rants about how Dungeon & Dragons background is retarded.

Seriously, i can't belive he'll finish the Silmarillon : he stopped to try writing something in order to publish it at the 50's. Christopher Tolkien noted that his father was too busy to work on linguistic and mythological works for that.

However, it's not impossible that he publish parts of Silmarillon, like the part with Turin Turumbar, or the fall of Godolin who were pretty well achieved in the 30-50's, or the Ainulindale by exemple.
But nothing "new" published anyway.

Well, he finished the Silmarillion.

Tolkien finishing something like that?

That needs to go to the ASB forum. :D

I love Middle-earth, but Tolkien was obsessively perfectionist, and it shows.

We might get more stuff addressed like say Celeborn or Amroth, though.

First thing I see is possible a revamped Quenya pronoun table; he seemed to changed it fairly often. Next, more definitive information on Sindarin. Maybe he'll work on his "Gothic" language, too.

AND a completed Lay of Leithien. Things were just getting good where he left it unfinished in OTL.
