To Make Us Proud Again: A Collaborative TL

Rough outline for DC comics:

- Jason retires following his brush with death, Tim still becomes Robin
- Jason roughly replaces Jean Paul Valley in Knightfall*.
- instead of having crazy programming, Jason feels like he is not up to the job and seeks advice from Joker in Arkham (very Hannibal Lecter Esque).
- Following his defeat Jason goes to the Suicide Squad for about a decade.
- 2003's Batman: Hush is instead Batman: Red Hood with elements of both and Jason as the Big Bad.
- Sometime in the early Noughts we have Nightwing's Outsiders vs Red Hood's Suicide Squad.
 
October 15, 1991: Kara-El returns from the dead, revealed to be secretly hiding on Earth following the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths and giving secret guidance and advice to the new Supergirl Linda Danvers.

April 15, 1993: Bane begins his all-out assault on Gotham through various means (initially by releasing Arkham Asylum). Bruce convinces Jason Todd to come out of retirement to help him and Tim Drake regain control of the city.

June 21, 1993: Following the Crippling of Superman story arc, Kara-El comes out of here retirement on Earth and becomes the protector of Metropolis. She takes Superboy under her wing, chairs the Justice League, and teams up with various Batmen (Bruce, Jason, Dick) before Superman regains his ability to walk a year later.

August 15, 1993: The best-selling Death of Batman story arc, with Bane snapping Batman's neck. Jason Todd hijacks some government technology, making it into a new Batman armor and using it to both cripple Bane and also claim the mantle of Batman for himself.
 
August 30, 1987: Mark Hamill goes to the Batman audition after hearing about it from Harrison Ford (who auditioned for the role of Bruce Wayne). While initially Tim Burton and the rest of the production team "Don't want to cast Luke Skywalker as our villain" they agree to give the young actor an audition just for the giggles. Hamill transforms into a clown demon before their very eyes, absolutely blowing away the entire production team. Hamill is signed to the film as the iconic villain, the Joker.
 
March 1st, 1988-April 1st, 1988: As Bush dropped out, a huge amount of GOP politicians start their campaigns:

  • Congressman Jack Kemp from New York
  • Senator Dan Quayle from Indiana
  • Governor George Deukmejian of California
  • Senator Nancy Kassebaum from Kansas (Kassebaum's wife, fellow Senator Howard Baker, said that he wasn't running following her announcement)
  • Governor Tom Kean of New Jersey
  • Governor Dick Thornborough of Pennsylvania
  • Governor John Sununu of New Hampshire
The GOP race has gotten competitive, and time will tell what happens next
