What's the story with Tucker P. Smith? 16 years as VP to two different Presidents (from two different parties!). Interesting!

And what did the Social Democrats do to keep them out of office for 24 years?

There were actually a lot of Tucker P. Smith's during that time. They're not the same person.
Oh! That's not quite as interesting as what I was imagining but still a good bit of political trivia. I'm assuming that Norman Thomas's VP was this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucker_P._Smith but who was Rockefeller's?

On the topic of VPs - I noticed that relatively few VP's seem to have run for office (or at least won office) even when the party has stayed in power. What is the status of the VP in this TL?

(There's also a small typo with Marc Elrich's dates in office)

That would be telling! ;) When we get to Rockfeller's Wikibox, it will be revealed. Nonetheless, Rockfeller's Smith is kinda very obscure as a politician otl

Like before the 1940s, VPs who have served terms are 'encouraged' not to seek extra terms mainly due to fears of stagnant bureaucracy under the same systems. There is no official law regarding that though.

Thanks, edited.

Since I’m a big fan of the Cold War and post Cold War conflicts, what wars occurred in the Cold War? And what wars and insurgencies did the CSA and other nations go through?
