TL: The War to End All Wars -- Does!

This is going to be a TL that I will work hard on, because WWI is my favorite history topic, and I wanted to create the true WTEAWs, because back then, Europeans believed it was the WTEAWs, and thought it would last only six weeks.

***

1903

Serbian nationalism becomes a prominent force in Serbian politics with the advent of the terrorist group, Crna Ruka (Black Hand).

1905 - 1911

Revolutions break out in various countries: Russia, the Ottoman Empire, Mexico, and China.

1908 - 1909

The Dual Monarchy of Austria-Hungary annexes the Ottoman province of Bosnia-Herzegovina. This greatly angers the Ottomans. Sultan Mehmed V and the Committee of Union and Progress declare war on the Austrians; the Austrians declare war on the Ottomans; the Russians, seeing the Austrians as a threat, as it was pro-Serbian, declares war on the Austrians. Although inherent enemies since 1299, the Ottomans and Russians work out an "agreement of alliance" to temporarily to hold off the Austrians.

1910 - 1912

Britain, France, and Germany participate in an arms race and the Railway Wars, trying to gain as much territory, speed, and time as possible. Russia, although in a war with the Austrians, also participates. Germany "wins" the Railway Wars, and overpowers Britain, France, and Russia as the dominant European power.

1912 - 1914

Austria wins the "Four Years' War." The Ottoman Empire retreats and suffers massive casualties; the Russians are also weakened. Unrest erupts in the Balkans. To further dismantle the Ottomans, the Balkan states declare war on the Empire, and immediately dismantle it. The Ottoman State is on the verge of collapse.

Serbian nationalists assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne. War breaks out between both empires.

Germany forms an alliance with Italy and Austria-Hungary. The UK forms an alliance with France, Belgium, and Portugal. Germany tries to goad the fractured Ottomans to join them, but fail. Bulgaria and various other Balkan states join Austria in the Central Powers. Serbia joins the Allies. Russia, having economic ties to Serbia, joins the Allies. The Ottomans, realizing that the Allied system of alliances was fulfilled, reluctantly join the Central Powers after a promise of the return of Bosnia and other lost territories. To counter an Italian offensive, the Allies get a successful alliance out of Spain.

Alliances as of 1915:

Allies:
UK, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Serbia

Central Powers: Germany, Austria, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Ottomans

TO BE CONTINUED...

Italian forces mobilize troops to enter southern Spain.

Even disregarding the fact that Spain was probably the hardest minor power to get into either Alliance, how are the Italians going to do that? Getting through the British, French, Spanish and Portoguese navies, landing and maintaining an invasion force? That's ASB.

United States declares isolationism. Germans use unrestricted submarine warfare (USW) to goad the United States. Germans in negotiations with Mexico.

The Germans are intentionally trying to pick a fight with the USA, who just declared to be neutral, in the early stages of the war? Of course, sounds plausible... wait, what?

Spanish and Portuguese forces clash with German forces in the Battle of Brussels: Entente victory. They drive the Germans back a little; the German army retreats into north-west France.

The Spanish and the Portuguese, eh? And the Germans retreat into north-west France after they were expelled from Brussels? That doesn't make much sense... on more than one level.

See above. The Italians weren't capable of such a feat.

Austria-Hungary sends troops to aid the Bulgarians and Romanians against the "Greek threat." Russia invades the Ottoman Empire. Greek and Serbian forces invade the western sector of the Ottoman Empire.

C'mon, why is Romania in 1915 part of the Central Powers? Why are the Bulgarians such pushovers? How can the Serbians mount offensive operations while they were barely able to survive against AH?

Fighting breaks out in Seville between Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian forces. The Battle of Seville ends in Entente victory. Italian forces retreat.

See above.

German and Austrian forces retreat from France and march toward Spain.

Retreat from France and march toward Spain? How? Have they just defeated the French? In 1915? Just like that? Or are they leaving France alone and teleport to Spain? How are they even capable of something like this? In OTL the CP's hadn't the logistical capabilities of supplying forces necessary for the Schlieffen Plan, much less for invading Spain of all things.

Italian forces meet with Central Powers in eastern Spain.

Ok, now you're pushing it. How do the "other Entente troops" march into eastern Germany? How did they even get there? Why are the German armies in Spain and not Russia?

The Battle of Istanbul ends in Entente victory. The Ottomans retreat to Ankara. Serbian, Greek, and Russian forces occupy Istanbul. Austrian, Bulgarian, and Romanian troops centralize near western Russia and northern Greece. The Ottomans suspend all military maneuvers and activities.

Well, I don't want to discourage you, but to be perfectly frank: please do a little more research before you post a timeline.

Or, alternatively, start a discussion thread first, bounce your ideas off of some people and then write your TL.

Explain how the Austrians won a war against Russia. Not saying it's impossible, just saying that Austria winning Russia without Germany require some serious boost of Austria.

Also, Italy would only fight for the Central Powers if Austria secede at least Trent and Görz (and perhaps Trieste) to them.

Bright day
Bosnia and Herzegovina. OTL the province has been occupied for 30 years, then a visit from the Russian Czar occured. Russian wanted the Straits to be open to all shipping and were fishing for support. The Emperor was clear, acquisce to annexation of B-H and you have his Imperial and Royal support. Franz Joseph was a walking fossil. Why is he being unreadable in TTL? Or is there someone else on the throne?

How are the Ottomans going to fight KK armies? Why do our allies let us be attacked?

I suggest you read up on the Alliance System and European history in general for 1870-1914. Here's one source on the Alliance System. It'd be good to look at several sources.
