I'm working on my first TL, which will be about Hitler growing up in Russia and becoming dictator there during World War 2 (inspired by TLs about Hitler or Stalin living in America, and a recent one about a German Stalin). But the name is what I'm struggling with. Any suggestions?

Another question: which ideology do you think Hitler should follow here, communism or fascism? Maybe even a weird form of "commufascism"? Either way, he's not going to be joining the Allies.

EDIT: I should note that me just announcing this doesn't mean that the TL will happen immediately. I'm only throwing the idea out there. It'll probably be a very long time until I actually start it.

'Fuhrer of the East' if he's still fascist? 'Comrade Fuhrer' for the communist variant?

As for what ideology he would follow, it depends on how he is brought up and the political climate of Russia in the ATL. If everything up to 1917 goes nearly the same as OTL, it doesn't make much sense for a fascist movement to take off unless *Hitler started it, but it isn't that hard to get *Hitler to join the Bolsheviks if he has grown up in that environment.

"Adolf Aloivitch Hitler, the Glavnyy TL" or something like that. Adolf's father was named Alois, so Aloivitch is the thing that sounds the best to my ears. And Glavnyy means Chief, as a parallel to the Fuhrer = Leader

Edit : as posted before, Vozhd is a prerefarble alternative

@LuckyLuciano @Mako-Tochan

Totally agree with using a Russian name in the TL itself. For a title though, 'Fuhrer' is a hell of a lot more recognisable and tells everyone "hey look this is a Hitler TL". Of course it is up to the OP to decide if he wants to use that logic or not :)

Big problem might b how you introduce Hitler to Russia. Russia wasn't most attractive countries to move. One way might be that Hitler meets Lenin and Lenin convert Hitler to Bolshevism. Then after WW1 Lenin calls Hitler to USSR. But more difficult will be how he is rising to power.

I agree for the most part and that's why I thought this idea was interesting.
Maybe Hitler could meet Stalin in Vienna and befriend him. Hitler follows Stalin to Russia, manages to still be trusted by Stalin and ends up succeeding Stalin as leader of the USSR.

Was thinking he would be either adopted by a Russian family after being abandoned, or his mother marries a Russian man after Alois dies.

Probably Stalin should die earlier than in OTL. Even without that quack doctor Hitler's health will not be very good in end of 1940's.

Thanks for the suggestions!

As for how Hitler could become fascist, how about this:

He grows up in the Russian Empire after being adopted by a white Russian family. Young Hitler grows up embracing Russian nationalism and looks down on the other ethnicities for being backward and needing the Russians to prop them up. World War 1 happens and Hitler decides to join the army. Russia ends up losing territory after the war, Hitler becomes furious at this. Having grown up in the Russian Empire, Hitler wants to create a far stronger empire. Hitler participates in the White Movement and the Whites win, maybe due to Lenin and Trotsky being killed in 1918 or the Bolsheviks infighting among their leadership about who would succeed Lenin. Hitler blames territorial losses on ethnic minorities (including Ukrainians, Kazakhs, and Germans) within the Russian Empire. Hitler like in the OTL Soviet Union, uses the bureaucracy to appoint people he likes in positions of power until he is the leader of the oligarchy of Russia. The 1920s and 30s see massive industrialization and mass deportation of ethnic minorities as aggressive Russification takes hold and minority languages are wiped out. Millions die as ethnic republics are deliberately starved like the Holodomor in Ukraine. Collectivization heavily favors ethnic Russians. Hitler's goals are to expand Russian "living space" west into Poland, the Baltic states, and Germany, as well as to slaughter the Japanese and destroy their empire as revenge for the defeat in the Russo-Japanese War. In particular, Hitler has a deep-rooted hatred for Germany for the conflict them and Russia had in the First World War, and his ultimate goal would be to exterminate the Germans and claim their territory.

Alt-WW2 breaks out when the Russians pursue an invasion of Poland and the Baltic States and Finland to reclaim all lost territories of the Russian Empire.

Have him accepted into the Austrian army and get him captured by the Russians. Later he joins the Bolsheviks and fights in the Civil War for the Reds.

As for the name, Россия выше всё or Союз выше всё might both work. Translates to Russia/the (soviet) Union uber alles.

Well, since this Russian Hitler's ideology is likely to be Commufascism according to the votes, could it be possible that he gains some inspiration for his ideology from people like these:

Since I believe he will end up Nazbol, I think it would manifest itself in hatred for the Tsarist aritocray. However he would likely be just as opposed to internationalists. Likely push some sort of class collaborationism.
