TL idea, interested?

I was intending to start Brazil what-if TL on other forum, but there would be no interest at all, as this place is badly U.S.-centered. As recent history of Brazil is one of my favorite topics (along with U.S., Arab World, Stalin era or post WWII France) I wonder if anyone would be interested in putting this here :)

I've found that this site is usually very receptive to South American TLs, partially out of interest, partially out of exoticism; there are damn few of us who know enough about Latin American history to write our own TLs set there. The few that we are blessed with are all very good and well liked.

In other words, go for it! :D

Ditto. I mean to cover Brazil/SA in my TL, not to drop, but I feel like I really lack the proper knowledge to do a dedicated one and would certainly be interested in one.

If the POD is before 1900, then put it in the "Alternate History Discussion: Before 1900" topic, otherwise put it in the "Alternate History Discussion: After 1900" one.

Ok, thanks for advice for a confused newbie. I started the thread :)

Well, you're apparently polish, not Brazilian...how much good Brazilian Information can you access? How much do you already know about Brazilian history?

What POD or time period do you have in mind? What style?

Also, keep in mind there's several South American members you can help you or destroy you at a whim. Especially, if you need help with Brazil itself, ask Gonzaga, the only prominent Brazilian poster who's a regular.

It's a shame that the first Brazilian TL won't be started by him, though, but such is life:p

I've been researching for that TL for weeks, you could have told me this sooner:p
I thought you've commented on my Triple-Alliance War topics before, or am I thinking of someone else? Anyhow, most if not all of my knowledge on that war is derived from two books. One however does stand out as it was written by a lieutenant-colonel from the Paraguayan army who took part in the war.

Well, if you think that I'm going any deeper as soon as next click then you're wrong.
