TL Assistance

I have been musing over several TL's to construct or to at least research when work will give me the spare time to write:

A Burmese TL:

The POD for this involves an early 19th century accident (cliched) to a reigning monarch and sees small scale Polish immigration. In the late 19th century a war erupts between Thailand and Burma over the Shan states and involves some Ironclad battles.

Paraguay TL:

The President is smarter combined with several former Union officers means the Paraguayan Army is better organised to fight against Brazil and Argentina. It would also involve my favourite order the Jesuits, who due to butterflies within the order lead to the establishment of an investment bank with pivotal impacts...

Cambodia TL:

My first TL was Angkor Resurgent and I have always retained a soft spot for the primary character. Following the Franco - German war France collapses into a civil war. The French settlers are expelled and settle in the highlands on the Vietnamese / Cambodia border.

The Cambodian King who was a rank opportunist from OTL continues his behaviour and a Siam light develops on the border. Several officers from the United States (or elsewhere happy for suggestions) also help.

I'd like to see the Burmese TL, if only to see the effects on the world.

Yeah the Burmese TL I have been considering for some time... and in fact it was one of my original TL's on the site.

I may leave the Paraguay TL to later, but it is certainly on the to do list as I have a soft spot for the Jesuits.

Paraguay and South America have been increasingly interesting me recently. It would also be a notable break and help me freshen up so to speak my creative muse from my South East Asia focus.

Well in that case, go with something you're most interested in, if you say Paraguay, then go for it. I'd like to see how different fortunes would be for the so called "Prussia of South America."

Personally, I'd be most interested in the Paraguay TL but really you should write whatever you feel most interested in or most inspired to write. My suggestion would be this: Do the preliminary research, plan the events, and start to write. Do this for each of your ideas. I think you'll very quickly find yourself looking forward to doing the work for one of the TL's more than the others. That is the TL you should write.
