What title would you like best for a Worldwar/TL-191 crossover timeline? (I may or may not be planning to write one of my own....) Feel free to suggest titles if you don't like the three listed.

Lizards of the South.

But the Lizards aren't of the South; they're of Tau Ceti 2. ;)

Incidentally, if anyone doesn't know what a beffel is ("befflem" is plural), it's a Lizard pet that acts like a small dog. I needed a Worldwar-specific word which began with the letter "b" to go with barrels and couldn't find a better one.

But the Lizards like the southern hemisphere better don't they?

How about:

  • Tosev Front
  • Race in Hell
  • Upsetting the Breakthrough
  • Ginger and Iron
  • The Earth Cannot Hold
  • Homeward Engagement

Cheers,
Nigel.

Tau Ceti is located "below" the Equator technically, so it is South :p (its also several lightyears sideways from the equator, but thats beside the point).:p

I kind of like "The Earth Cannot Hold," though that would imply something about the conclusion of the timeline which may or may not be true.

"Lick the Balance" - since saying 'we'll gonna lick X' is Turtledove's idea of great oratory. Or alternatively, 'Licking the Balance.'

(Seriously, it's not only when he writes Jake Featherstone his that speeches sound like).

The first one is the superior of the three.

I might suggest: Lizards from Home in the Garden of Bones.
