I'll post some polls abut the most read TLs in this forum, just to see how they are rated by posters/lurkers.
Let's begin with asking what do you think of Decades of Darkness. Votes are anonymous, an can range from 1 to 10.

I gave it an 8, simply because I think certain parts of the timeline are being handwaved, like the conquestion and subjugation of northern South america.

Note that I'm using 8 in the sense that a 5 is your run of the mill timeline, not like it's used in American education.

Well, I haven't yet shown what's been happening in northern South America, but there's still lots of areas to be covered in the post-war world. It will be covered in time, just like the reactions to the war in Britain and New England have yet to be shown.

Although, more broadly, I'm not sure that popularity contests for TLs are a good idea. It seems more likely to lead to angst and one-upmanship than anything constructive.

What sort of writers would we be if we didn't have angst?

More productive ones?

Or, more likely, we'd find other ways to avoid being productive...

I gave it the maximum as I think it's the best Tl I've read even though I disagree with certain outcomes.

But why the anonymous part.

Throws stone at at whoever voted ONE!

With all the effort and research but in it deserves at least a 5:p

I haven't read the entire TL, but based on what I have read, I gave it a 9, knocking one off for chauvinism because Britain loses a war to the US. ;) I think Kaiser Bill the 3rd deserves about 18 points for research, though, given that HE HAS NEVER BEEN TO NORTH AMERICA!!! and HAS WRITTEN A TL SET MOSTLY THERE MORE DETAILED THAN OTL HISTORY!!!

Don't worry, when voting on it, I knocked off nine points because _Australia_ lost a war to the US... :D

Keeps getting delayed due to getting 26 hours of work to do a day. (I'm only online right now due to the time-honoured art of procrastination.) Hopefully by the end of the week.
