. . . As for Islam,it was more rigid and stricter than Christianity and hence Sufi Islam didn't become stronger.
Okay, I can see that it wasn’t 400 years before Islam became a state religion like Christianity did during the later days of the (western) Roman Empire. And Islam was maybe more often matter-of-factly incorporated within state power, although I suspect that in some periods of Europe during the Middle Ages this was probably equalled by Christianity.
And then, look, a lot of it just comes down to, I was religious when I was 14 and 15 and most people weren’t. I tried to be witness at school, and maybe there was only 20 students in a high school of 500 who I considered to be similarly devoted and evangelical as myself.
Well, heck, I’m a nerd big time in the social studies, history, politics, economics, philosophy, etc. and yes, I tend to get involved in things intensely. Some good aspects to this religious period, but coming down from it was very traumatic. These days I’m a good agnostic.

Many, many people even in religious societies are not themselves that religious. A whole lot of people believe God wants them to be a good person and lead a moral life, but they don’t take it further than that. Even as teenagers, they don’t get carried away like I did.
