In another thread, several subscribers told about an event during Leipzig, where a French cavalry squadron allegendly gave chase to enemy cavalry-the three Monarchs of the main allied powers were among them. They gave up the chase OTL. What if the French didn´t recognize the enemy monarchs and while attacking bring them down, too ? (the Danish commander of the Dybbol-battery died that way, mistaken by Prussians for a commoner).
The Holy alliance leaders dead-it would be a completly different outcome of the battle. The whole history of Europe would be altered-despite the fate Napoleon and his Empire might befall. What would Metterich do now ?
