Three Changes = Japan and Germany winning World War 2

Question, I'm wondering what would the ramifications of the US not annexing the Philippines as a colony, Hitler swearing off drugs after an adverse reaction when he was first prescribed methamphetamines and Roosevelt being assassinated in 1933 would have on history.

I believe the results would be an isolationist America not embargoing Japan which allows it a free reign to operate in the Pacific. With scrap metal, copper and oil still flowing they could continue attacking China and even invade French, Dutch and British possessions in the Pacific without provoking America.

While this is going on Hitler wouldn't suffer from the effects of drug usage and make more intelligent decisions on the Eastern front, possibly making it so that the Soviet's could be defeated and Europe would remain under the control of the Nazis.

Does anyone else agree or disagree, I would like to hear any opinions about this.

A less impulsive Hitler might not make his historical successful gambles. For example, a more rational decision in the East in 1941 might be to retreat in the face of the Russian winter offensive instead of Hitler's "sit tight" order - which would probably have had disastrous consequences for Army Group Centre. Or he might just not gamble in Sickle Cut, leading to France surviving 1940, or bottle the invasion of Poland, the Sudeten crisis, or the reoccupation of the Rhineland, in which case the war in Europe is unrecognisable from OTL, and possibly never happens. It's too vague a POD to say much really.

If an isolationist US doesn't embargo Japan, then Japan doesn't need to expand her war. The British and Dutch would probably be quite happy to cut a deal with Japan in 1940. So there's no Pacific War at all.

The probable overall result is a surviving Japanese Empire, a total mess in China and Soviet domination of most of Europe. Maybe the British can jump across the Channel after German fighting strength is broken and keep France democratic though.
