Thoughts on Otto Prohaska novels

Thoroughly enjoyable. I've read the first two and was going to recommend them to my father. A very interesting look at the world from the point of view of an officer in the KuK Austro-Hungarian Navy. Everybody reads about Hornblower and his similar brothers in literature, but how many stories are there about an Austro-Hungarian.

They're great fun, highly entertaining, and there is some quite good AH potential in there too, particularly in the final one, "Tomorrow the World". Definitely worth a read.

I have been intrigued in the concept of an Austrian 'Flashman' and they appear to be well written so I am going to go out and order the first two over the weekend.

I read and enjoyed the first one - I was unaware that there was a whole series. I'll have to look them up.

Yeah, interesting perspective reading about submarine combat in WW 1 from the Austrian navy. I have read a British one and a German account, so it is a good read.
