Okay, okay, hear me out on this one.

Basically, it's honestly pretty weird that grocery stores supply the exact few foods that they mostly do in out world. Tomatoes were seen as poisonous, potatoes are the only non-poison parts of their respective plants, etc. Not to mention the variety of foods you might find in, say, a Kroger or an Aldi usually heavily reflects the local area. I can't drive 5 minutes to kroger and expect to find, say, a Mamey or some Lychees. And i know that Grocery Stores themselves as one-stop shops had a long and troubled emergence and probably won't exist in a lot of timelines. But if i were to stumble into a world's equivalent of a kroger, what might I find?

For example, in a United States that is more influenced by Native American and Latin American cultures, I might go to the Grocery Store and get a few Yuca/Cassava, some Sassafras root cola, a plantain, some tomatoes, and some rabbit to cook up dinner with.
