Thomas Dewey Elected President-Impact on Organized Crime

Thomas Dewey was an American special prosecutor who went after the American criminal mob in New York City during the 1930's. His success in putting several famous criminals in prison help him to be elected as New York State governor. He ran for President twice and lose by narrow margins.

With Dewey's focus on organized crime in America, what changes would have happened if he was elected President in 1948?

Thank you

Well, while Hoover will want to go after the Commies, Dewey will insist on also going after the mob. We might see something similar to Apalachin happen earlier. Going after organized crime might make America safer.
