So, TTL printig media is not slowly dying under the pressure of the internet?

What are the top tabloids?
"The Times," if you ask your British uncle.
I will never understand why Philadelphic has to be so weird...
Should always be remembered that the official romanization of Philadelphic is determined by the British, who are not exactly...friendly with its speakers' primary government. The phrase "Gûd mꜵrniŋ, hɋu ɋr îʉ dʉiŋ?" can be transliterated as "Gwd morernehng, hau ar juoo dooehng" or as "Gud morrneng, hou arr yoo dooeng," and it's the weirder one that the Empire employs. Go figure!
So, TTL printig media is not slowly dying under the pressure of the internet?
It's demise is looming, but has been staved off for now, thanks in no small part to considerable government subsidies. The average resident of this world sits down and gets their main info dump from a morning paper, spills their preferred morning beverage on it (iced tea, coffee, hot tea, yerba mate), and then receives breaking news and continued updates from their apps.

Looking at the previous posts, it seems this world is less interconnected and globalized than in our world.

Is neoliberalism a fringe ideology in this timeline? If so, what caused it?

Does that mean most Countries are Autarkic and Self-Sufficient?

Quick little side note, if any of you were to be in this universe, what country do you want to live in? Personally I would want to live in Aotearoa or Canada.
Honestly, for all that's not great about TTL New England compared to OTL, I'd still want to stay there, as an OTL Yankee.

In a world without an overbearing superpower dictating to the rest that free trade is now the rule of the land, each great power continued to carve out sectors of influence, and a sphere of one power's influence naturally cannot have the influence of their rivals. These same rivalries have made labor outsourcing appear as an imprudent policy--it's cheaper to build everything with a foreign underpaid workforce, sure, but what happens when the British/Russians/Prussians/French/Japanese attack, and all your factories have long fallen to rust? National security demands domestic production.

Add to this that the only major power to really commit to complete deregulation instead of reform ended up falling to a socialist revolution, and all in all most policy crafters would rather not take the risk, profits be damned.
Does that mean most Countries are Autarkic and Self-Sufficient?
They would certainly hope to be, but a nation's reliance on foreigners is usually inversely proportional to its power. China would certainly like to export less of their rare earth minerals to the British and Japanese, and instead use those ores for their own benefit, but the Royal Navy and the financiers whose interests it represents would have something to say about such a pivot.

Dear God, so the TTL Blitz is literally TEN TIMES worse than OTL? And I thought the loss of British pre-war architecture in WW2 was bad - this is just downright apocalyptic, like Verdun being brought to the White Cliffs.

How did the French perform an aerial bombing campaign of this magnitude, especially considering that the GCW began more than a decade earlier than WWII? Was the military technological base in TTL more or less the same as OTL when the war began in 1926, or noticeably more advanced?

Interesting, is the Soviet-esque US flag shown here the new canon design? Or was it changed back to the alt-Stars and Stripes sometime between the Great Continental War and today?

Also, anyone knows why story posts like these aren’t threadmarked anymore? There hasn’t been a single one for the whole year; the latest threadmarked post was the new world map, all the way back on Jan 1st.

Only the OP of the thread can threadmark. IDK how busy @CosmicAsh is at the moment, but given that @Kibbutznik is currently posting in her stead, I assume she's pretty busy

So is this why the Palace of Westminster looks way different? Was it bombed?
Unfortunately, yes.

Having nine years instead instead of nine months, as well as several cannons lobbing shells non-stop, would make much of a difference. It took the British Empire a significant amount of time here to finally mitigate the threat posed by French assault, far more time than it took their OTL counterparts.

The Stars and Stripes were returned to their former status as the flag of the United States in 1987. A full collection of American flags, from the 1917 Civil War to the present day, can be found on our discord.

This, essentially. We're trying to get on it, but CosmicAsh is going through same major changes in her life, so it's a bit low on the priority list.
