Theodore Roosevelt Lives To 100?

IOTL, Theodore Roosevelt, the POTUS from 1901 - 1909 and the Progressive Party nominee for President in 1912, died in 1919 at the age of 60. It was rumored that he was planning to run for President once again in 1920.

TR's cause of death was a preventable one - malaria, which he had contracted on one of his safaris years previously. It's pretty easy to butterfly his malaria away - he lived through a dozen safaris throughout his lifetime, he could live through another, especially as he's TR.:p

Now, here's the rub: Along with not catching malaria in 1918, TR never contracts malaria. Instead, he continues his record of good health and, in a shocking anomaly, Theodore Roosevelt dies on his 100th Birthday - October 27, 1958.

What effect would TR have on the world if he lived from 1919 - 1958? Would he have been elected President in 1920? Would he have been re-elected to a fourth term in 1924? What would he have done after his presidency? Would he run for President a fifth time? What's your opinion on the last forty years of TR's alternate life?

Given life expectancies at the time and the OTL health histories of the Roosevelt family, I severely doubt that he makes it that long.

Eleanor Roosevelt lived pretty long, I'm sure TR could at least pull into the 1930s or 40s (Imagine him going on rants about the Nazis :p)

Quite the TR-gasim.

Not only do you need to erase TR's 1914 bout w/malaria but also the 1918 death of his son Quentin. That in and of itself would likely have derailed his 1920 presidential campaign plans. That aside, could he have won in 1920? Perhaps. Had he done so and won, I can't see him running again (or perhaps not even being alive) in 1924. Talk of a 5th term and of his life during the '30s, 40s & 50s is pointless unless aliens use their life-restoring powers because, "hay, it's TR we're talking about". Even healthy, TR most probably wouldn't have lived past his mid to late 70s.

I could see him be quite the Elder Statesman for the World in the 20's and 30's, even if he didn't run for President. Heck, Teddy might have been able to prevent World War Two!

ROOSEVELT DEAD:
Former President suffers massive stroke during "frank discussion" with Adolph Hitler
Hopes for "peace in our time" took a turn for the worse late yesterday ...

Rough riders version 3.0, Teddy Sr. and Jr. lead the airborne invasion at Normandy, 2.0 did not come about in WWI. But seriously I could see him supporting FDR build up before Pearl Harbor especially after Hitler invades Poland. He might bring more Republican support to FDR in the Pre War years.

Without that bout with malaria I can see him live to a bully 70something, or even 80; but TR the centenarian would be very improbable.

He could never have lived that long without the ASB's assistance. His father lived to only 46, and his grandfather made it to 77. The longest life of any of his sons was to 85. I think, personally, TR has another ten-to-fifteen years if he does not go on the malaria trip, making his life expectancy in the early-to-mid seventies. Even eighty is really pushing it. If he lives he becomes President in 1920. And considering that the job is stressful as all hell, it'll take a toll on him.
