The White Ship arrived safely
I have written this scenario and I saw this scenario floating on my cloud storage, I just wondered if I can share this.
The survival of William of Adelin
William and Matilda were betrothed and were believed to have a happy future together and will make Anjou at peace with Normandy and they were married on 1120, after marrying him the County of Maine would pass to William Adelin of Normandy, Matilda and William dearly loved each other.
William and Matilda set out on a trip from Normandy to England on November 25 1120 and William of Adelin boarded the White Ship in Barfleur while his wife Matilda rode another ship, in the ship William Adelin noticed the rock in Barfleur, William Adelin told Thomas FitzStephen to be careful in sailing the ship in order to avoid an accident from occuring.
William Adelin walked at the edge of the ship and gazed at the sky and the sea and he found that the ship could be in danger of hitting a rock.
Meanwhile, Matilda dreamt that she would not be able to meet her husband, William Adelin again and he would be drowned due to an accident, she is very worried about him.
William Adelin told Thomas FitzStephen that they should detour because of the rock is near the ship and thus they were able to go to the English channel and sailed from Barfleur unharmed and he arrived in England safely because he warned FitzStephen to avoid sailing to the rock because the rock will cause the White Ship to be destroyed and if the White Ship is destroyed, they will drown, William Adelin talked to Thomas FitzStephen and talked about what could have happened if they were never careful when they were in the White Ship, they talked heart to heart and William Adelin said to Thomas FitzStephen that he wanted to see his wife Matilda again, he said it was destiny that made him survive, William Adelin was excited to see his wife Matilda.
Matilda's tears show when she met her husband, William Adelin, the Duke of Normandy and the future King of England and embraced him with all of her love.
Matilda said, "I thought we would never see again, I dreamt that you would be drowned"
William responded, "I will stay with you as long as we live, Matilda, don't worry about that, I will never dissappear from your arms, Matilda"
Matilda said, "I want us to stay together until the end of our lives"
William responded "Of course"
Because William Adelin arrived safe and Henry II of England was happy to see William Adelin and that he seen his only heir survived and that the White Ship managed to board back to England, in 1115, Empress Matilda of the Holy Roman Empire gave birth to a son named Henry, named after he father and her own husband, Matilda of Anjou also arrived safe in England, earlier she adopted the name Matilda after her marriage in June 1119, as had her mother-in-law, Edith of Scotland, she was born Isabella d’Anjou(b.1111), she was the daughter of the count of Anjou, later she found out that she was pregnant with a child and in April 4, 1122, she gave birth to a son whom she named Henry, William Adelin attended the christening of Henry of Germany, the son of Empress Matilda and Henry V in May 1122, Matilda of Anjou was happy about the birth of a son of Empress Matilda, later Queen Matilda of England would give birth to a daughter named Matilda Elisabeth in June 4, 1123, William Clito dies due to a severe fever in the early 1124 and Robert Curthose dies due to the severe grief, William Adelin set his own eyes to Flanders and wanted to inherit it, he sent emissaries to Count Carl of Flanders to appoint him as his own heir in which he agreed.
in 1128, William Adelin seizes Flanders from the Rebels after Count Carl of Flanders was killed in a revolt.
Philip of France(b.August 29, 1116) was the favourite son of his father as a child, Philip was enthroned alongside Louis VI as joint king in 1129. However, the young king gave his father little joy after that, refusing to pay attention to the old king or to follow the high standards that Louis himself followed. He became disobedient, refusing to heed scoldings or warnings; Walter Map said that he "strayed from the paths of conduct travelled by his father and, by his overweening pride and tyrannical arrogance, made himself a burden to all, Eleanor of Aquitaine was very much attracted to him as a a young man that she played with him and treated her like a close friend, however she also learned that she is about to be married to him which made her quite excited to be the Queen of France.
Aenor of Chatterherault and William(Guilhem) Aigret(b. 1126) were able to survive and recover from sickness in 1130, Eleanor was betrothed to Philip of France, the Junior King who later became Philip II of France, while Alice of Aquitaine was betrothed to Henry of Germany, the two marriages would pit William Aigret between both Holy Roman Empire and France, the betrothal of William Aigret to Constance of France, the sister of Philip, the Junior King of France in exchange of that to the marriage with Eleanor of Aquitaine.
