Margaret of Male, Holy Roman Empress

Verse 1

On July 11, 1362, Anne of Swidnica gives birth to another son named Sigismund, however, Anne of Swidnica would die on childbirth.

Elizabeth of Pomerania would be married to the Duke of Inwroclaw, Wladyslaw by Casimir III however the marriage would be only a political marriage as the Duke of Inwroclaw loved his first wife very much but they were able to sire heirs, the marriage of Elizabeth of Pomerania to the Duke of Inwroclaw would confirm Wladyslaw of Inwroclaw as the heir of the Kingdom of Poland, the King of Poland would nullify his alliance with Hungary and Austria as it seen that the two countries are weak as allies and the Polish King, Casimir III pays the Hungarian King with Ruthenia due to the Polish King having a clear heir, Bolko of Swidnica and the Wladyslaw Opolczyk would be the clear allies of the Polish King and his heir in Silesia.

Elizabeth of Pomerania and Wladyslaw of Inwroclaw would all in all have these children.

Anna b. 1368

Wladyslaw b. 1371

Elizabeth b. 1374

Casimir b. 1376

Leszek b. 1380

In 1355, the young Margaret of Male married Philip of Rouvres, grandson and heir of Odo IV, Duke of Burgundy. He was count of Burgundy and Artois (1347–1361), Duke of Burgundy (1350–1361), and became Count of Auvergne and Boulogne.

Following Philip's death from a riding accident in 1361, Margaret of Male was widowed and married Emperor Charles IV of Luxembourg of Bohemia on 1363 and she was crowned as empress the following year which destroyed the alliance between Bohemia and Valois France which means that the treaty of Bretigny with the Plantagenets would stick on the reign of Charles V of the Valois in France, the marriage would only produce three daughters namely; Anne of Bohemia b. May 11 1369, Mary of Bohemia b. June 2, 1370 and Margaret of Bohemia b. October 10 1374 and Margaret was left a widow on 1375 of Charles IV, the Holy Roman Emperor and she went back to the County of Burgundy leaving behind her daughters behind in Bohemia.

Charles II 'the Wise of Navarre' aka the Charles V of the Navarrese faction

Verse 2

The Valois would attempt to marry Margaret of Flanders to the Duke of Berry, as Philip, the original intended to marry Margaret of Flanders had been married to Joanna I of Naples in 1363 just after her previous husband, Louis of Taranto, which sired heirs for her namely Louis of Naples b. 1364 and Charles of Naples b. 1366.

The French would approach Margaret, the Countess of Burgundy and Flanders, who is now 26 and rejected the Valois King of France, Charles V's brother who wanted Margaret to marry John the Duke of Berry, however, the King of Navarre who wanted to regain the throne of France were in better position to get Margaret as the Bride for Charles of Navarre to get the throne of France as well as his ancestral possessions of Champagne and Burgundy, John, the Duke of Berry would marry Eleanor of Aragon after his failed bid to marry Margaret of Flanders.

Margaret of Flanders is betrothed to Charles, the future King of Navarre who is 11-12 years her junior on the early part of 1376 which would strengthen the case of the King of Navarre against Charles V of France in the succession of France, her father, Louis, Count of Flanders and Burgundy would support her on this marriage.

On 1376, Joanna I of Naples marries Maria, the heiress of Sicily b. 1362 to her son, Louis of Naples b. 1364, to unite Sicily and Naples into one.

Margaret of Flanders and Prince Charles of Navarre are married in the November of 1376, they would have difficulty in procuring the marriage as the Valois are against the marriage, the marriage negotiations pushed through because the terms of Charles the Wise of Navarre were agreeable to the Flemish and Margaret is a cousin of the Charles the Wise of Navarre, since both are descendants of the direct Capetians.

In the same time the Navarrese married Eleanor of Castile with Peter, duke of Mortain taking Charles of Navarre's position in the betrothal with Eleanor of Castile on 1376 due to the alliance of Castile and Navarre, on the same time marrying Maria of Navarre to John, the heir to Castile of Leon, the marriage of Maria of Navarre would be barren, causing the Duke of Mortain and his descendants gaining the throne of Castile and Leon.
