    how do you get those height maps you trace them from? would be good to know

    @Klime 's overlays are usually a good bet.
    I always use citypopulation.de it has lots of detailed 3rd-level maps, although you would need to print-screen and manually put them together in paint.net

    They sometimes need a little rescaling, but they've always worked for me

    Im excited for this project to complete and I want to contribute
    (other than greenland)
