I started working on Maryland this evening, and got distracted. So to show the resolution of this map, here's a grid over a map of my hometown, with each grid cell corresponding to one pixel on the VT-BAM.

Ooh, can I see the progress on it so far?
Sure, here it is a part containing only the completed parts:
I have to redo Belgium since I want the map to be detailed, so I will draw Belgium's municipalities again and then use the again the source for municipalities.
Some notes on the map:
It shows exactly the fist language of each place, source list:
*Flanders: 2016 data
*Wallonia: immigrant population
*Switzerland: 2015 census (% made to be 100)
*Austria: 2001 census
*Aosta Valley: 2003 survey (actually francoprovencal)
*Piedmont: 2006 survey
*Trieste: 1971 census
*Slovenia: 2002 census
*Croatia: 2011 census
*Catalonia: 2015 survey
*Val d'Aran: 2001 census
*Andorra: 2005 survey
@VT45 can you make a municipality map of Belgium and the Netherlands with ArcGIS please?

If this will help, I made a dialect map of Great Britain

To get the thick borders, I just went over the coastline with a 5 pixel thick pencil on photoshop.
