The Unfading Glory

For the caption of the last picture, I believe you meant to say Andrés Narvarte instead of Marquez.

Other than that, good update. Santander's setting of a Washington-like precedent for a two-term limit will be very good. I wonder if he studied Washington's presidency for inspiration?

I like this. Will we see a surviving UPCA as well? That would be great.

All in due time... ;)

I wonder how the US is responding to this new American power, especially when it begins to industrialize.

I'll be following this.

Thanks! Industrialization will occur in small baby steps but will attract attention to the "Colombian Miracle"

It's a very interesting timeline, and yes, it's very similar to a Vicky AAR. ;)

:D

Great TL. It is interesting to see Gran Colombia's relation with the US,Brazil, and Mexico. I also want to know what will be Gran Colombia's relation with Haiti and Santo Domingo. I read that Santo Domingo wanted to be part of gran colombia at one point. And that Gran Colombia had not diplomatic relations with Haiti. I'm guessing it will be the same in this TL. Maybe the colombians would remember that Haiti aid them on the path of independence and have trading relations with the island nation. Just surmising, great story so far anyway.

Some of this will come up in the next update or two, thanks!

I considered starting a similar TL but couldn't decide on a proper departure date. This is pretty good.

Thanks you!

Cool stuff. I went with a similar POD when playing a Gran Colombia in a naval sim. Will be curious to see how this goes...

What naval sim exactly? :D

Thanks!

Oh, thanks!

He did, but it was also a combination of that and a little shame over the nations unpreparedness against Peru.
