Could you be more specific about the Socialist-Labour Alliance?
Essentially, Blair is a bit more gung-ho about modernising things such as welfare by using the Field Reforms which have attracted a powerful resistance movement from many groups but not large enough to actually affect the polls in terms of mainstream voters. This has caused many small parties, disaffected Old Labourites and some of the more nostalgic trade unionists to form the Socialist Labour Alliance which, to avoid the often splitting that plagues the left, has the goal to moving the Labour party and British politics in general towards the post-war consensus at the very, emphasis on very, least. Think of it as an early TUSC in response to a more defined Blairism but it will soon develop into something more strong as Blair continues to reform without much worry.
New Conservative is one of the SLA's more witty attacks on New Labour and how they are a bit more attentive on keeping Middle England.
