The Twin Eagles

This is a rough draft for a TL I'm creating
POD: 1914-Germany wins a close victory at the Battle of the Marne due to a smaller-scale Russian attack in the East and thus requiring less troops in the Eastern Front. Paris falls to the Germans in November. Britain pulls out, France fights on.
1915-German offensive in France continues. France finally surrenders after Bordueoux falls. At the Treaty of Munich France is forced to transfer much of it's territory as far west as Dijon along with Indochina, all of French West Africa except Algeria, and is forced to restrict its army to less than 100000 men. About half of Belgium is also annexed and Britain is forced to pay large indemnities. An all-out German offensive in the East begins. An Irish revolt is crushed in Britain
1916-Russia collapses a year earlier and a coup puts Alexander Kerensky in power. In the Western United States Pancho Villa attacks several towns far more severely than OTL. An expeditionary force is dispatched to capture Pancho Villa. Woodraw Wilson is reelected President.
1917-Kerensky surrenders to Germany. The treaty of Minsk is signed. Ukraine, Poland, Finland, Bylorussia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia all become independent. Kerensky keeps power and Bolsheviks and Mensheviks are surppresed. The US expedition in Mexico installs a puppet government in Mexico City and annexes Baja, Chiuana and Sonora.
1918-The Spring Reforms begin in Germany. Steps are taken to establish a full democracy in Germany. The Central European Co-Prosperity Pact a joint military and economic alliance, is created. The CECPP includes Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg,Austria-Hungary,Poland,UkraineFinland,Estonia,Lithuania,Latvia
Bylorussia, and Bulgaria.
1919-Spain joins CECPP. In the United States Woodraw Wilson announces his intention to run for a third term. Baja is integrated into California
1920-Italy,and Greece join CECPP. Sonora is admitted at 49th state. Leornard Wood is elected President of the United States.
1922-Germany officialy becomes a full democracy. Elections bring the Social Democrats to power. Portugal joins CECPP.
1924-Leonard Wood is reelected President of the United States.
1927-The 40 days war: the Action Franchese attempt to remilitrize France in response Germany and the CECPP invades and occupies Paris. Seeing the example of Germany Russia decides not to remilitrize yet.
1928-Hiram Johnson is elected President of the United States
1930-The Republic of China by this point has reunited most of China except Manchuria (under Japanese influence)
1931-Russia begins secretly remilitrizing while Germany is mostly distracted by a revolt in the Ottoman Empire.
1932-The Recession of '32 begins. Japan annexes Manchuria. John Garner is elected President.

?Why?

again ?WHY? The CECPP appears to be a German dominated Organization so why would the Med countries want to join..
Remembre Italy was on the other side here. and would still be feeling bad about losing

Don't really see Wilson running for a third term, unless at sometime he actually mentioned that. Theodore Roosevelt and U.S. Grant are the only ones that really did consider a third.

Looks interesting. Are you going to continue until TTL until modern day?

The US declares war on Japan. Britain also declares war on Japan. However France and Russia do not declare war on the US. Stalemate in Europe continues as each side fights massive bloody battles.

?Why? again ?WHY? The CECPP appears to be a German dominated Organization so why would the Med countries want to join..
Remembre Italy was on the other side here. and would still be feeling bad about losing

Italy joined World War One in 1915 but in TTL they didn't join the Allies and remained neutral. And various countries are joining the CECPP because it gives them various economic advantages

Don't really see Wilson running for a third term, unless at sometime he actually mentioned that. Theodore Roosevelt and U.S. Grant are the only ones that really did consider a third.

Wilson did plan to run for a third term I believe but didn't because he had a stroke while campagigning for the League of Nations.

Robert Anson Heinlein-
July 7th 1907-March 4th 1991
Born in a small town in Missouri Heinlein it seems was destined for the world of politics. After serving in the US Army he went to Dartmouth College becoming a lawyer. Returning to Missouri he became a noted lawyer in Kansas City for many years and ran for city council in 1946. In 1950 he was elected mayor of Kansas City and was noted as a fearsome populist in the tradition of William Jennigs Bryan. At the 1952 Democratic Convention he ensued his mentor, Harry Truman's second nomination though Truman went down in defeat to Earl Warren. In 1956 he was elected Senator and would remain an institution. In 1960 Heinlein fought tooth and nail Kennedy's nomination and threw his support to George Patton instead. Regarded as a traitor he was almost expelled from the Democratic Party but survived. Heinlein supported a hardline stance against the ECPA and supported all the proxy wars that happened against that alliance. Vitrolic and determined Heinlein was noted for his lengthy oratory in the Senate. Heinlein became Majority Whip in the Senate in 1970. Heinlein was nominated by the Democrats for President in 1976 but lost to Townsend. However he remained Senator constantly being reelected. Continually supporting aggresive foreign policy he opposed the warming relationship betweent the two alliance through the 70s and 80s and also the Arms Restriction Treaty in 78. Heinlein fanatically refused to retire until his collapse on the Senate floor in 1989. He retired and spent the last two years of his life composing military books before dying in his sleep on March 4th 1991.
Richard Milhous Nixon-
January 9th 1913-July 22nd 1996
Born in Yorba Linda, Ca to a poor family Nixon developed an interest in writing fiction. Nixon's attention turned toward weird fiction and his first stories in Weird Tales appeared when he was 15. Nixon also corresponded with fellow weird fiction/horror writers such as Howard Phllips Lovecraft, Lyndon Baines Johnson,Robert E Howard,August Derleth, and others. His stories most notably "The Horror in the Hills", "Visitor From Beyond", and "The Horror Out of Space and Time" won critical acclaim and cult followings. Meanwhile he attended Whittier College and graduated with a degree in English Literature. As a writer Nixon also worked as a journalist for Los Angeles Times starting in 1938. By 1945 he was one of the chief local journalists. In 1952 Nixon won a Pulitzer Prize for exposing a corrupt local city councilman. By now with 4 collection of his fiction having been published Nixon was quite wealthy. When his stories were turned into motion pictures the money continued flowing in. In 1964 Nixon acheived his greatest triumph by becoming editor of Los Angeles Times. For the next 20 years Nixon became known for his fierce conservatism in the paper and wrote more stories. When Nixon retired as editor in 1987 he was once of the most famous men in America with 2 Pulitzer Prizes, 5 Centurai Awards, and 3 Galaxia Awards. His last years were spent writing more short stories and 2 massive nonfiction books. When Nixon died he had written 827 short stories, 38 novels, and 21 nonfiction books.

Cite a source. Because he quite clearly did not, seeing as he criticized TR for his run and because he was already jockeying for his successor when he had the stroke.

Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel
November 15th 1891-Febuary 2nd 1975
Erwin Rommel was born in Heidenhim, Germany. After joining the army and graduating front the Officer Cadet Academy Rommel served with distinction in the Pan-European War in France and later in the Eastern Front. After the war he had battalion commands leading the 771st Infantry Battalion in the 40 Days War and became a colonel in 1932. As a colonel Rommel developed an interest in armor and helped the German Empire build its first armored divison, the legendery 1st Panzer Divison. When the Pan-Global War began Rommel took command of the 1st Panzer Divison and fought brilliantly in the Eastern Front especially at the Defence of Lodz where he defeated a Russian attack force twice his size. Ithink this is a neat little timeline, however, I think you need to flesh it out a bit. My suggestions:

1) What exactly happenned to Belgium? would, for example Flanders have chosen a union with The Hetherlands instead of German occupation? I think both the Dutch and the Germans would have been friendly to this.

2) A bit more on the leadership of the German Empire, Did it turn into a Constitutional Empire?

3) edit those little bio's into your timeline, that would be fun I think.

I think you're already fleshing it out, keep up the good work! I'll be reading.

Regards,
Rhysz

P.S.
Btw I don't think Wikipedia is the worst source one could use.

1.In my TL a part of Belguim gets annexed to Germany while the rest becomes a puppet state.
2. The German Empire is a constitutional monarchy though the Emperor has more power than the Queen of Britain or the King of Sweden
3. I'll try to edit those bios in a revised TL
Thanks for the review!

1. How is the United States able to send a manned expedition to Mars in 1979?
2. What the crap happened to keep the Ottomons alive?

Anyway, great timeline. THere's a lot of great information. I like how everyones happy and how we have a united world.

1.Technology advanced somewhat farther than OTL
2.The Ottomans survived due to them modernizing and giving Arabs and other minorities autonomy/rights.

GMB,

A few points.

Why does GB pull out of the war when Paris falls leaving the French and Russians to fend for themselves.

Secondly if they did pull out then there is no way in hell they'd have to pay massive repatriations.
Germany couldn't force them to pay them and GB would simply tell them where to insert their demands.

Remember even if France falls GB can still blockade Germany and the HSF is incapable of preventing it.

Woodrow Wilson wouldn't seek a third term because he was effectively dead in 1919 well before the 1920 elections.

I don't have a problem with Germany winning but they were incapable of forcing GB to surrender and it would only be a matter of political will whether they continued to fight or not.

A more likely option is that Germany makes peace with GB by withdrawing from Belgium after taking Paris when that route in no longer required.
A settlement like this might have a chance of being agreed to by GB especially if it looks like France is out for the count.

I agree you probably need to flesh out the TL and explain the changes.
To me a TL with multiple PODs which this appear to be seems to be one designed for a wank regardless of plausibility.

There is one Pod with victory at the Marne plausible, GB pulling out for unexplained reason not plausible, GB paying massive repatriations after a few months of war not plausible, Woodrow Wilson not having a massive stroke and being a vegetable another unexplained POD. Why didn't this happen?

All these just in the first few lines.

Oh and the USA wasn't really antigerman Wilson and House were but the rest of the country not really.

About Britain surrendering I see your point and I'll probably change it in the revised version. As for Wilson the reason he collapsed and had a stroke OTL was because he was campaigning intensivley for the League of Nations which does not happen in TTL.
