President Hart was patiently at work, dealing with the massive amounts of work on his desk. The continued commitment to reorganizing the Middle East, diplomatic conferences with the Soviet Union, and the continued reorganization of American politics by means of the Republican Party’s untimely demise. Hart was ever vigilant.

However, he was suddenly jarred from his work as Secret Service men entered the room. “Mister President, you are needed immediately.”

Hart looked at him, “Why?”

...A jetliner just crashed into the Capitol Building. We need to evacuate you immediately.” The Secret Service man spoke with dead serious expression.

President Hart, his family, as well as Vice President Clinton and his family were escorted through a secret tunnel out of the area. The perceived threat from above never came to the White House.

America Under Attack! Jetliner Crashes Into Capitol Building

The usual calmness of a Washington D.C. day was disrupted yesterday morning when an airliner was purposefully crashed into the Capitol Building. The initial death figures are unknown, as neither house was presently in session at the time of the attack, however, we are expecting some number of Senators and Congressmen to have perished in the attack.

President Hart addressed the nation last night calling the attacks a “cowardly attempt to discourage America’s quest to help democracy wherever it may be needed.” The Islamic Reunification Front, an attachment of the Al-Qaeda and Taliban machine that the US Army recently unseated from power in Afghanistan with the help of the Soviet Union has claimed responsibility.

Muammar Gaddafi was the first Islamic leader to speak out, declaring these attacks “wholly against Islamic doctrine and an act of cowardice.”

UPDATE (3/7/93): The death toll of the attacks is approximately 115 Senators and Congressmen combined. President Hart has called for Congressional elections for the districts who have suddenly lost representatives. As it is currently, the Democrats maintain a majority in the Senate even without their representatives, while the various GOP factions are still in a minority, with the Union Party being the largest of that minority. The small death toll is a relief to many Americans. The CIA has said that they believe the target was entirely one to show that America was not invulnerable, and President Hart hit on that saying, "America is indeed not invulnerable, but we are still mighty."
