Post your ideas for how Tolkiens various writings could have gone differently from what we have OTL.
E.g. what if Tolkien had gone with the more maleficent view of Elves making them corruptions by Morgoth. Dwarves would then have likely filled some of their role - Sylvan Dwarves anyone?
