Well having the pro-secession lawmakers arrested by a Union general not to mention Virginia having a mostly plantation economy would only just get the state to secede and join the Confederacy.
Not when the legislature to legitimise it isn't there.

I find incredibly hard for even John C. Fremont to somehow imprison all the secessionist lawmakers of Virginia. He might have done it in Kentucky or Missouri but Virginia is really hard to do and realistically speaking even in the AMPU Civil War they alongside Robert E. Lee would leave. Since Missouri and Kentucky are also part of the TTL's Confederate States the results might be very different.

Here's my little contribution to the thread: A TV schedule for my hometown of Seattle in 2020-21 of AMPU. Now, there's a few things you're gonna notice: There's nowhere near as many reality shows or infomercials as IOTL (at least on network TV), every night's prime time lineup has a theme, and there's a few references in the show titles. Can you guess what they are? I welcome any questions, criticisms, etc. First up. KOMO (ABC-Channel 4)

Nice thing you got here. However, perfect timeline or no,a mass of people will still want reality show-style content. Maybe the top reality shows of TTL are on Hulu-like subscription services or the *Internet?

Made a little modification to the post. I should have at least one or two more by Sunday.

The History of the Reddick Family and The Reddick Oil Company

The first Reddicks arrived in America shortly after 1776 from England and settled in Pennsylvania, where the first blossomings of Revolutionary Spirit occured in the breast of one William Penn. James Reddick discovered oil shortly outside Findlayville. In 1873, he incorporated the Reddick Oil Company. In 1903, Henry Ford demonstrated his first automobile. Within a few years Reddick Oil Company was supplying gasoline for automobiles. The Reddick Oil Company, by this time, headed by James Reddick's son Charles Reddick experienced sizeable disruptions due to the Falcon Uprising. Reddick Oil Company supported the war effort in the Great War by supplying America's forces fighting to free Canada from the yoke of the British Empire with gasoline and other oil products. Theodore Roosevelt awarded Charles Reddick the highest civilian honor for helping keep America's men fighting.
