The Spanish Match

The Spanish Match was a proposed marriage between Prince Charles, the son of King James I of England, and Infanta Maria Anna of Spain, the daughter of Philip III of Spain. Negotiations took place between 1614 to 1623. Charles did not marry Maria Anna.

Suppose Charles of England does marry the Infanta Maria Anna. What happens then?

Charles and Maria Anna marry in September of 1622.
Their children are:
Prince James
Princess Margaret
Princess Anne
Prince Richard Philip

Well, to get the marriage to happen in the first place is going to be difficult. Charles was expected to stay in Madrid a year to convert to Catholicism (which even if it is insincere and quickly renounced on returning to England, it will be sufficient ammo for the Puritans to throw at him). Second, Mariana is gonna be a problem. She resolutely refused to marry a heretic or live amongst them (so she'll be like Berengaria of Navarre - a queen of England never to set foot in the country). And lastly, NONE of the Habsburgs (neither the king of Spain, nor the Emperor, not even Olivares) ever planned to let the match go through, which is why they imposed such radical demands as Chaz converting, living in Madrid for a year, blah-blah.
