The Shah in 1979

Can someone help me with some facts about the Shah of Iran?
As far as I am aware, he arrived in New York on October 22nd 1979.
Where did he fly from? What type of aircraft was he on? Which airport did he come into?
I'm hoping to use his demise them, even at that very late stage, to avert or lessen the situation with the Embassy Hostage Crisis which came afterwards for a TL POD.
Any help much appreciated!

Initially his children were flown to the US and he fled to Aswan in Egypt. Then he transferred to Marrakesh, the Bahamas, and finally Mexico City. When he requested American medical aid, he was flown in US Air Force craft initially, finally taxiing in to La Guardia in a Gulfstream II.

There's the anecdotal claim from Argo that he fled in a 747 so weighted-down with gold that it almost crashed on takeoff.
That'd be an ironic demise (plus rioting as looters tried to grab gold and other valuables from the debris field), and if he never
even makes it out of Iran, that might deflect some of the anger.

Exactly what I needed. Thank you.

Now that would, as you say, be rather ironic.
It's an idea I will actually seriously consider.
