The Seymour brothers as Lord Protectors

Edward VI of England became King in 1547.
Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford, was the Lord Protector.
Edward Seymour's brother Thomas received the title of 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley. Thomas Seymour suggested that he and his brother share the protectorate.
Suppose Thomas and Edward Seymour were both Lord Protectors. What happens then?

In February 1547 Thomas Seymour was created Baron Seymour of Sudeley and appointed Lord High Admiral.
From that time forward he was occupied in intrigue against his brother the Protector, of whose power he was jealous.
He aimed at procuring for himself the position of guardian of Edward VI.

Is that a rhetorical question, judging by the way your second post launches into what I can only assume to be the lead-in to a TL you are planning? If not, the answer surely has to be that the ramifications are huge. After all, it was the treason of Thomas which Northumberland manipulated into a justification for Edward's own execution. If Thomas is actively co-operating with his brother, that possibility gets taken away and Northumberland has to find another way of wrestling control over the Privy Council away from Somerset.

That said, based on the type of guy Thomas was, I can't really see it happening.
