Discussion:

How well is it Written?

Plausible or ASB?

What are your overall thoughts of it?

Would it ever be Turtledove Material?

And Lastly, on a scale of 1 to 10 how good is it?

(I want to Punch you in the Face , is not a valid answer ;))

I think it's very good and it quite a good read. Loved the battles (they're well depicted). The only thing that make me wary is this thing about Turks and this new Tengrism, which represent a second PoD (and I'm not very fond of those).

Anyway, keep up the good work!;)

9.5 . It should be 10, but i gave that for envy...:p

Seriously, the only critique i will make you seemed too focused about ERE and the East than WRE and the West: but indeed the eastern developments will have great importance to the East, so...

I have only skimmed it, so I'll not vote, but I like your use of pictures. Reminds me very much of AARs which is a format I enjoy.

Its not entierly a second POD. Keep in mind the Turks are not isolated from the Romans, the different course of events has allowed for this to happen.

I really want to wrap up the Roman Persian war of 634-651.

There will be some Western Updates after that ;)

That's ok. Probably the thing that "irks" me is the apparent inevitability of a new religion being born in this centuries which transform a people in a military machine on a conquering spree ( an example is Remnants of Rome, which I enjoy, mind you, but if Islam is butterflied away, is it so natural that another religion rises with the same characteristics?). The poor zoroastrians never seem to catch a break.:p

Do not expect this to be a repeat of the Calpihate,
The Turks want war for Two Reasons
First to spread the faith
Second and most importantly, the Perisans toke over some of thier Land.

Why have half the ppl voted a .5 :(

Im wondering if they even read it, or are just trying to mess up poll.

Or is my TL bad :(

Don't worry. All works have his fans and his detractors. If during the discussions you didn't receive negative comments it only means it's all right for the majority of the community.

It's true the members could gave their positive or negative poll, but in effect seemed strange that concentration of votes on the lowest grade; it could be fine if those voters explained, with civic tones, their reasons about their choices.

Don't give up, Earl ;)

the lowest votes seem a bit harsh, if we think of it as grading students' papers, it would like having a blank one.
