OOC: as lots of people have done it, I figured I'd do a media wish fulfilment scenario
"Well Douglas my friend. I have a horrid feeling I've been replaced. I met with Dirk Maggs, the radio producer with the rather sci-fi sounding name. He and I had been meeting for lunch a few times a month and every time we discussed doing more Hitchhikers on the radio. This time I could tell he was down from the get go.
"I've been replaced" he proclaimed "by some scruffy herbert with floppy hair," I thought we'd be working with a new producer on the radio. He then added. "And its on the telly,"
Six months later I'm in a studio in heavy prosthetic makeup, guest starring in hitchhikers, on the BBC, again and the "Scruffy Herbert," who has of course since been revealed to be "Spaced" director Edgar Wright, who is scruffy, but brilliant.
Its not what I imagined but its good to be back. I hope we can make you proud. Me, Edgar and Arthur and Ford, played by David Mitchell and Robert Webb. You'd like them, they started in Radio too."
