The relection Of President Kennedy

President Kennedy placed his arm around his beautiful wife Jacqueline Kennedy

“This must not be the 62 percent that voted for Nixon in 1960 Kennedy jokes to his wife.

Wow! Jacqueline thought to herself, so many people came to thee the 35th president of the

United States. The two year’s ten moths of the president’s presidency had gone from
Crisis
To crisis...
.
The administration had faced the “ole” miss. Crisis the Cuban missile crisis

The rise of the Berlin wall went up in 1961. Also, events in south East Asia was taking

Up Kennedy’s time. And this would be an issue in his second term.

As for now Kennedy needed to win the south. . In 1963, segregation laws

That had been in place since reconstruction was dividing civil rights activist and people

Who wanted to keep the old laws even the democrats in the south in presidents own party.

The excitement of the day was quickly interrupted by a loud gunshot sound.
Governor Connelly an experienced deer hunter knew the sound all to well. It was the sound
A rifle going off... The governor turned around to see president Kennedy shot in the chest. The next shot Kennedy in the right arm.
Got of the vehicle behind the presidents car and immediately ran towards the president’s car... Agent Blaine shelled the president. The secret service agent boldly acted as a human shield taking two bullets for the president. One struck Blaine fatally in the head, another in the back.

The cause of this assassination was a misfit, a loner, while many people witnessed the shooting believed there was more then one gun man. The culprit was an ex military man.
After, shooing the president from the view of the book depository now fled as far on foot as possible to a
Abandoned hotel.
Oswald did not fit in American society but now the American history books would always have a place for him. Oswald broke a window with his hand. In a fit of desperation, after authorities sounded the hotel.

He then took out a pistol and began firing at the authorities.
Within ten minutes Oswald had died in a hail of gunfire.

While the capture of Oswald had taken place. Secret service responded quickly with no time to mourn the loss of agent Blaine, Vice president Johnson was taken to safety. He would spend the day taking phone calls from foreign heads of state wishing the president well to reporters trying to get a story before deadline.
Attorney General Robert Kennedy had received a call from F.B>I director J .Edgar Hoover saying his brother had been shot then hung the phone without saying goodbye. The two men never the best of friends and disagreed on many things and Hoover thought initially his appointment to attorney general was nepotism. However, he was very effective attorney general hover had to admit to himself.

Shortly after the president had awakened on the operating table. President Kennedy had learned the sad news that Gerald Blaine died saving his life.
Gerald Blaine had been on the secret service detail of President Eisenhower. and continued onto Kennedy’s detail since the start of his administration.

The President waved at the cheering crowd , that came to greet him. As the motorcade roared through
dealey plaza in dallas, texas. The then seantor Kennedy defeated Vice President RICHARD Nixon by
a razer thin margin.Since taking office, the Kennedy admintration had been nothing but camelot. The
admintration went from one crisis to another from the berlin wall going up to the cuban missle crisis,
The president spent most of his time on foreign affairs and civil rights activist called kennedy a
bystander in the civil rights movement. However president kennedy risked losing the south,a
democratic stronghold since southern democrats made no apology over not supporting any civil rights
leglation in the 1960”s. Many southernors were more then contented keeping laws ,that had been in

place since the days of reconstruction. Historians to this day debate how history would of unfolded
that fatefull day in dallas trexs had President John Fritzgerald Kennedy been killed that fatefull day in
dallas texas.
Everlyone from the scret service detail to the crowd seemed quit pleasant but looks ca be very deceiving. The dallas trip turned into horror when Governor connaly a experinced rifle hunter, turned
around when he heard the sound he knew too well. Governor Connaly witnessed President Kennedy

being shot in the left shoulder.Unfortunalty for Governor CONALLY the next shot was in the governors

throat. Secret service agent GERALD Blaine climbed on to the back of the presidents car . The secret service agent then covered the presidents body and acted as a human sheild when the third bullet was
fired.BLAINE had started with the eisenhower detail and had faithfully served with the president since
day one. After the shots were fired and a deperate search for shooter or shooters began,
LEE HARVEY Oswald was a individaul that could not temper his need for fame and could never find a
place in american society. Even a communist country such as the Soviet Union he did not fit in after leaving the states and
made a return to his country of origin back to .OSWALD FOUND REFUGE IN A ABandoned Hotel, now he was in the likes of WILKES BOTH WHO
SHOT President LINCOLN AND CHARLES guiteau who shot and killed PRESIDENTGARFEILD. OSWALD
After breaking the window in the unkept motel room. He began firing at the poilce and withen fiteen
minutes he layed dead on the floor. Not long ago Marina OSWALD his wife locked him in the closet
when he threatened to kill former vice presidnet Richard Nixon And A Few Weeks ago oswald
thought about killing general Walker Elsewhere the president was imdiatly taken to Parkland hospital for medical treatment.
Docotor”s at the hospital were successful in taking out the bullet that wounded the president but unfortunatlyGovenor Connoly did not pull through niether did agent Gerald BLAINE. VICE PRESIDENT johnson goes into deep depresion when he hear of the death of his dear friend joh connoly, but for now the vice president must return to d.c with a large group of secret service men who like
Johnson mourn one of their own. From now on when Vice President Johnson mentions Conoly to his wife lady bird or anyone else. it
well be in the present tence, PRESIDENT kennedy had survied the attempt on his life and for the world
war two vetran ,it was the secound time he came close to death.FIRST, the president spent some time in hyanis port for the hoildays, with his wife jAcqueline KENNEDY HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY.
