I too would place Afghanistan as being far worse.
It could be a bit cliche but I'd imagine there would be some occupation trouble.

What weapons could the Afghanis really use against the Race? They don't have mines, bazookas, any anti-aircraft, or really many grenades... do they? Old rifles would really suck against modern weapons and tanks.

As was said in the portion of the series set in Croatia -- it's not good terrain for tanks or unescorted fighting males.

Well they might be likely to do some trouble but they need more than what they have in 1940 to not have the moral for an uprising in the gutter, but if they were properly backed they could strir up some.

Wow, this is a nice thread. Really good work, Darkest! I'll definitely look at this if/when I ever get around to resuming work on my Worldwar TL idea.:rolleyes: Do you happen to know a few specific dates, such as when exactly did the Nazis manage to blow up that Race nuke-carrying ship? I'd really like to find a timeline of the Worldwar books some day. :)
