The rabbit and the Emperor

During his scouting for a crossing point along the Neman River Napoleon was reportedly tossed from his horse when a wild hair darted out of the grass in front of him. His Generals saw this as a bad omen. So what if it was even worse? What if instead of simply hopping back up and returning to horse unaffected Napoleon had fallen and broken his neck?

Then he would have had a bad hair [sic] day?:p

Are you wondering if the French Generals would decide to pack up and go home? Because if they did, that might be enough to save the French Empire (assuming it can survive a dead Napoleon).
