The possibilities of Osman the Young ??

Over the last few days I have been looking at some possible POD’s for the Ottomans ( yes reading as many of Abdul Hadi Pasha II's comments as possible ) after checking one Sultan after another going back in History one stood out as a most interesting young fellow namely Sultan Osman II. He was very Young at the time of his Death and seemed to have had a Major problem with the Janissaries how would the Middle east look if this Young Man Lived longer and was successful in reforms. Including Tax system?

Was looking at a Alternate as he was just so young cut down in his Youth (Born November 3, 1604 – Died May 20, 1622)
Say getting rid of the Janissaries by the 1630s if he was more careful or had a good Cadre of advisors? Would this be possible since this period seemed that the Janissaries where such a powerful political force in the Empire

Getting him to live to a reasonable age of say late 50's or 60's how hard could a Young Sultan push the Conservatives of the time?

This is far from a area of Strength of Knowledge for me
Also some advice on some good reading for the Period?

the 1600s were a fun time - the Ottomans finally got the Holy Roman Emperor to conceede that the Caliph could use the title "Emperor".

how corrupt were the Janissaries in the 1600s? (by the early 1800s, they were kingmakers)

and if Osman II gets rid of the Janissaries, what power base can he rely upon to back him up?
(same for wanting to change anything, particularly the taxes: he may be the Emperor and the Caliph, but if he alienates everyone, his chances of survival are low)

That is why I am asking this as question I am not sure how accurate this Wiki comment is (I take most Wiki answers with a pinch of salt)

"Probably the first Sultan to identify and attempt to tackle the Janissaries as a praetorian institution doing more harm than good to the modern empire, Osman II closed their coffee shops (the gathering points for conspiracies against the throne) and started planning to create a new, loyal and ethnic Turkic army consisting of Anatolian, Mesopotamian and Egyptian Turks and Turkmens."

I am sure of the one statement though He was young and pushed far too much too fast. Just thinking what he could achieve given an extra 30-40 years Not too tall a request as he died at age 17
