Not All Bright & Shiny...

Dark Days- Starting in 2006,Vril Dox II, head of L.E.G.I.O.N. seized control of the United Planets after the assassination of President R.J. Brande of Braal. In this period, Dox launched a "State of Emergency" citing the threat of Trigon. In an effort to unify forces under his leadership, Dox launched General Order #616 which called for the arrest and/or execution of all members of the Green Lantern Corps, the Darkstars, the Thanagarian Hawk Corps, and the Followers of Ion. All interstellar transmissions and trade were to be censored and monitored by the Computer Tyrants of Colu. Close to 83% of the members of the United Planets have come to agree with Dox's policies citing the need for security in a time of war, and the memory of Brande. The Union releases "official" circumstances of death of the Green Lantern Corps and Darkstars killed following Order 616. All of the false reports are concocted by L.E.G.I.O.N. agents. Lobo and Terra-Man offers their services to Vril Dox, promising to hunt down and destroy Green Lanterns and Darkstars who survived the Great Purge.

R.E.B.E.L.S. (Revolutionary Elite Brigade to Eradicate L.E.G.I.O.N. Supremacy) was established under the help of Carter Hall and General John Stewart. With the aid of the Justice League of America (JLA), Earth has become a point of refuge for the fragmented elements of the different interstellar law-enforcement agencies.The government of Rann places all of the planet’s weaponry aboard a huge unmanned military transport labelled Another Chance, which is then sent into a perpetual state of hyperspace.

Army of of Bana-Mighdall- For the past 6 decades, the Army of Bana-Mighdall has been a thorn in international relations with Themyscira. In 1953, Princess Tara Terruna condemned efforts by Queen Hippolyta to make contact with the "Patron's World". Although it was seen asan extremist and ultra-conservative reaction to the contacts made by the government, the appeal of the group steadily grew. In 1972, Orana seized control of the U.S. Embassy on Themyscira, and demanded the withdrawal of all American forces from the region. In 1976, the Army of Bana-Mighdall took credit for the bombing of the U.S. Marine base in Themyscira, which killed over 63 people. In 1986, the Army of Bana-Mighdall launched its first attack on the United Nations, killing 6, injuring 1,040 people. In 1991, the Themysciran embassies in Bialya, Pokolistan, and Markovia were destroyed by suicide bombers led by Orana, killing 224 people. In 1993, the U.S.S. Dane Dorrance under the command of Captain Stephen "Steve" Trevor, U.S.N., killing 18 people off the coast of Themyscira. In 1994, Artemis launched a terrorist attack on the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, New York killing 1,846 people in the process. Ever since 1996, the Army of Bana-Mighdall has been also affiliated with the Mankind Liberation Front (MLF). This has allowed for the Army to launch attacks on Themysciran government facilities and embassies in 1997 and 1998. While the White House has put pressure on Themyscira to crackdown on the Army, political conservatives, along with the religious caste, have actively blocked any actions.

Metal Men, Inc.-Dr. William "Will" Magnus and Prof. Hebert Crawford are some of the country's leading computer specialists. Starting in 2004, they have made billions with their creation of the "responsometers", a unique set of computer chips that have been credited with granting droids sentinence and resposible for their unique personalities. The have sparked a revolution in robotics, leading to such items as the John Spartan security droids for law enforcement. They have also sold the U.S. Defense Department Jungle Automatic Killer - Experimental Number 1 (J.A.K.E. 1) a.k.a. G.I. Robot for combat zones in Rwanda, Uganda, et al. They have also been financially connected to the administration of President Maxwell Lord since his campaign began in 1999. They have actively advertised their products as being "three laws secure".

Unfortunately, they became the target of international and corporate espionage when People's Liberation Army (PLA) General Chung Zhu organized the theft of the "responsometers" schematics for their Missile Men project. Second, the covert threat of HARDAC (Holographic Analytical Reciprocating Digital Computer and the infiltration of Tomorrow Woman of the Justice League of America (JLA).

Actually, yes I saw it. The idea is that I believe that he unleashed the Metal Legion sometime during the "Dark Days". This would be similar to the OMAC Project in "52" and the Liberators in "The Nail" Elseworlds story. If anything, this would help to make the ATL very similar to OTL's DC Universe.

What Lies Ahead!!!

The Elite- In the dark and cyberpunk world of 2020, the world is controlled under the grasp of super-powered antiheroes who see humanity as theirs to control at their whim. From their orbital inter-dimensional vessel, they rule with an iron fist. Members include:

Bunny- a continent-sized bacterial colony that became a floating fortress before The Elite brought her to their universe to use as a base of operations. On the rare glimpse inside it appears to contain many wonders including Excalibur and the skeleton of Pegasus.

Nathaniel Adam (a.k.a. Monarch)- An oppressive dictator who is rarely seen outside his armor. Many blame the death of U.S. Defense Department liason, Catherine Cobert for his obssessive need for control, and his fall from grace at the turn of the century. Behind his back, many of the other members of the Elite joke about the "Darth Vader" nature of his behavior...

Jon Hudson (a.k.a. "Kalel Kent" a.k.a. "Lewis Parker" a.k.a. "Superman III")-Formerly a member a common computer programmer from Megatropolis, he is the second-in-command for the Elite. He has many of the powers and abilities of his father. Some suspect that he may actually be a "clean" clone of the original Superman. He is secretly also affiliated with several members of the Mankind Liberation Front (MLF) Unbeknownst to most of the members, Hudson is seeking revenge for the apparent slaughter of the House of El. His greatest weakness maybe his relationship with the human Melodee Sellers, a reporter for the Daily Star website.

Cassie Sandsmark (a.k.a. "Wonder Woman")- Ares' champion and the new Wonder Woman. She has replaced Diana, who has fallen during the "crisis." She is the lover and also the greatest threat to Jon Hudson a.k.a. "Superman III" .

Machester Black- Very little is known about his background, what little that is known include insinuations that he was abused both physically and sexually by his parents while growing up. Manchester later says that he grew up hating traditional heroes, especially those who believed in high moral concepts such as never killing under any circumstances, personally feeling that the only way to truly stop the villains was to kill them

Sonya Manriquez (a.k.a. "Menagerie")- Manriquez was bonded to an "alien warrior crèche" (or symbeasts). The beasts could be controlled to be used as weapons or to assemble into other shapes. Most commonly, they form around the body and take the form of wings, enabling Menagerie to fly. She can also instruct them to take other forms, or detach from her body and attack an opponent independently.

Terry McGinnis (a.k.a. Batman)- McGinnis is an athletic high school student and reformed troublemaker with a deeply ingrained sense of personal justice. He is the latest citizen of Gotham City to take on the mantle of the Batman. Unfortunately, like his predecessor, he has no qualms about firearms and "extreme force". Second, of the members of the group, he is the most naive. Currently, time will tell if this is a benefit or a curse.

Gar Logan (a.k.a. "Animal Man")- His powers have increased to the point he can now turn into mythical animals and also turn into multiple animals at once.

The group was introduced in the 2005 storyline "Tomorrow Never Comes", wherein Bart Allen, boyfriend of Kristina Alexandrova (a.k.a. "Lady Flash") was thrust into a "temporal-flux". While he did vow to change this future, he returned only to have his memories erased. Only time will tell if this future will come into being...

Some Forgotten Heroes....

Penfield "Pen" Miller & The "Unknown"- Fawcett City was a major city for publishing in 1942. At this time, Penfield "Pen" Miller was a struggling cartoonist who worked for also worked as a forensic photographer for the police on his night-shift. One night, he was visited by one of his own comic strip characters (later revealed to be a 5th dimensional imp) which was later dubbed the "Unknown". He was granted membership into the JUstice Society of America (JSA). In 1946, while on a drinking binge, he used "the Unknown" it to temporarily reshape Earth-53 such that several heroes, such as Superman, Grey Ghost, and Green Lantern, retroactively ceased to exist, their powers being transferred to some of Johnny's fellow friends. Miller became the only JSA member to be censured from the group.

In 1948, he moved from Mesa City, AZ in an effort to avoid further contact with the superhero community. In 1951, Miller turned to alcohol after "the Unknown" disappeared during a massive battle in Washington D.C. In 1955, his estranged wife divorced Miller in Las Vegas, NV. In 1956, he was kidnapped by Soviet agents who attempted to use him as part of a plot aimed at destroying the members of the Justice Society of America (JSA). In 1985, his estranged daughter, Penelope "Penny" Miller mysteriously developed the powers of "the Unknown" and subsequently took on the role of the vigilante in Phoenix, AZ. In 1993, Penfield "Pen" Miller died peacefully in his sleep after his long battles with Alzheimer's Disease in Scottsdale, AZ. In 2003, Miller's name was briefly brought to public attention after Neo-Nazi vandals defaced his grave in Scottsdale, AZ.

Some Forgotten Heroes...

Colonel Larry Wilton, USSF/NASA a.k.a. "Sandman (iv)"- On May 15, 2002, Wilton was an United States Space Force (USSF) astronaut was was on the Zeus-10 manned mission to Titan. It was during a routine spacewalk, while repairing a damaged solar panel, that Major Bryan Bleier, his second in command, revealed that he was working directly with Soviet agents at home, and had his tether severed. Wilton drifted for several hours while he pondered whether to commit suicide as his air supply dwindled. At that very moment, he entered a mysterious cloud of green cosmic dust. Upon entering the cloud, he found himself in Dream Realm. Apparently, this fantasy-based realm had been visited by Geoffrey Chaucer, Willliam Shakespeare (known as "Faerie") occultist Helena Blavatsky, author H.P. Lovecraft, et. al. While there he encountered a female avatar named Jun Sukurada (a.k.a. "Melana"), a Japanese schoolgirl who had similar latent telepathic and clairvoyant abilities in Tokyo, Japan. Wilton reappeared in our realm, safely on Earth, outside of his home near Cape Canaveral, FL, scaring many of his neighbors, who had been told by Bleier, that he had been killed in a equipment accident. He was subsequently able to prove his case, and reveal Bleier's traitorous activities with a trip to the dream realm. Since his return, he fimds himself at battle with the politically connected Church Of Eternal Empowerment and its leader Reverend Dominic Darrk. He has also been recently inducted as a member of the Justice Society of America (JSA).

The Manhunters a.k.a. "Children of Justice"- Starting in 2004, many humans began to feel that metahumans were slowly stripping humanity of its rights both physically and politically. The organization, formed by Dr. Martin Jonas was created of the tradition of the Mankind Liberation Front (MLF). Donald "Dan" Richards of Gotham City leads operations from inside the Gotham Police Department. often with the support of Mayor Ellen Yindel. In Los Angeles, CA; federal prosecutor Kate Spencer leads operations and recruitment on the West Coast of North America. In San Francisco, CA; Kirk De Paul launches "black-bag" operations against prominent metahumans, including members of The Elite. Commander Mark Shaw, Delta Force leader, was recruited to oversee the expansion of the Manhunters covertly into the military structure of the United States. By 2070, John Starker leads a dark and terrifying cry to the metahuman community, "No one escapes the manhunters!!"

Dr. Martin Jonas is actually J'onn J'onzz a.k.a. "Martian Manhunter". He is using the Manhunters to launch a covert war against Earth's superhuman community. He has been teaching them the military ways of Ma'aleca'andra (Mars) in an effort to build a martial force that will be able to take on the Elite. It is currently unclear as to what his agenda is at this juncture

Some Historical characters...

Here are some characters that should demonstrate that the PODs for the DC Timeline are much more extensive than the Marvel Timeline:

Marcus Aelius a.k.a. "Alpha Centurion"- In c.56 BC, Marcus Aelius was a Roman Centurion who fought with his unit at the Battle of Carrhae in Parthia. For his efforts, the Malemuke warriors who captured him sold him and his entire unit into slavery. While in slavery, he contemplated suicide, until he was purchased along with his entire unit by Khund traders who planned to use them as mere training stock for their younger warriors. The fact that they were able to actively resist the Khunds, and overtake them with only their bronze training swords shows the extent of their ferocity in battle and their reputation as warriors. With his advisor and second in command, Caelius Corvinus Iucundus, have been able to attract the attention of the United Planets.

For the past 2,000 years they have expanded their ranks and have helped in the defense of the United Planets. They have been on the frontline of the war against Trigon and his forces since 1433. In 1991, they were betrayed by Vril Dox II, founder of L.E.G.I.O.N. Marcus would lead his unit back to Earth in 1995. In 2002, they hoined the Green Lantern Corps and the Darkstars in covert operations along the remains of Apokolips. Since then, they have become the cause celebre in Europe.

Sir Justin Flessel (a.k.a. the Emerald Knight)- In 1271, Sir Justin Flessel, a knight in the court of King Edward I, Longshanks, he became the first human from Earth recruited into the Green Lantern Corps. He trained at the Green Lantern Corps on Oa. He was a noble soldier dedicated to high ideals, training under KE'Haan.

He was unfortunately framed for the murder of several Green Lantern Corps members by Green Lanterns KE'Haan, Laira, Rot Lop Fan, Sodom Yat, and Xax. The Green Lantern Corps commanders had betrayed their students after they had used the Green Lantern rings to replicate the time experiments of Krona of Maltus. When they saw the future, they were shocked to find that the Green Lantern Corps and the United Planets would initially face collapse at the hands of one of the races of their peers, if they were allowed to survive.

Sir Justin Flessel was aided by the intergalactic mercenary, Hyathis of Alstair in an effort to clear his name. A mission that would take the rest of his life...

Zauriel, Seraphim of the Eagle Host- Zauriel is a Seraph who is charged with In 687 BC, the Prophet Isaiah reported seeing Zauriel as the Serpahim of "the Presence". The blowing of his horn will signal the "Day of Judgement" for all of creation. He has been at war against the forces of Trigon since his inception and maybe the key to defeating his forces. In 1995, he arrived on Earth in an effort to prevent a rebellion of the Nephilim in San Francisco, CA. His secondary objective was to prevent the Grigori for siding with Trigon's forces. In 1998, FBI Agent Cameron Chase was temporarily blinded after watching Zauriel appear in Washington D.C. In 1999, Zauriel was appointed the protector of Gotham City Police Chief Barbara Gordon for some unknown reason. In 2006, he recovered the fallen angel Azrael. In 2661, he is reported to be defending Earth against the Khund/Dominator Invasion. He currently resides in the Vatican City, with membership to the Justice League of America (JLA)....

The Conjurors- From 1940 until their mysterious disappearence in Stull, Kansas in 1962, the Conjurors were an elite coven of magicians who were based out of Miskatonic University in Essex County, Massachusetts. They were often assigned by a mandate from the U.S. Justice Department to maintain, control, and eliminate all supernatural threats to American security. Their membership included:

Balbo a.k.a. "the Boy Magician"- born in Arkham, Massachusetts, Balbo began manifesting his powers as a mage as early as 1942, at the age of ten. By the year 1953, he often clashed with his fellow mages with his introduction of the rockabilly style to his appearence. He is considered bright and innovative, often with new solutions to supernatural threats.

Dr. Hal Carey a.k.a. "Doctor Voodoo"- In 1940, Carey was an anthropologist who studied the hougans of Brazil and Haiti. For his curiosity he was turned into a zombie. It was only through the ingestion of salt that he regained his memory, and it is only because of regular injections of enbalming fuilds that he hasn't shown signs of decay. He unfortunately has lost his marriage and two children because of his condition...

Yasser El Karim a.k.a. "Master of Magic"- born in Cairo, Egypt, El Karim is a fourth generation scholar of antiquities and dead languages stretching back to the Napoleonic invasion of Egypt in 1807. He came to Miskatonic University in 1940 to help translate a copy of the dreaded Necronomicon written by Ras-al-Ghul in c.779 AD. He is a trained and talented mage, who is often found quietly doing research in the university library....

Bruce Blackburn a.k.a. "the Destroying Demon"- A schizophrenic but powerful mage. He is often considered abusive and tempermental by his students and fellow uiniversity staff. But coven members attribute this anti-social nature to his possession by demons, ghosts, aliens, and even fictional characters. He has been made an "avatar" for powerful deities since a battle with Aleister Crowley in Manchester, England. He came to Miskatonic University in 1940, in an effort to better shield his sanity, especially after invoking a demon named Etrigan.

Nicholas Warlock a.k.a. "the Wizard"- In 1940, while in Saint-Remy-des-Provence, France, Warlock discovered the lost book of prophecies of Michel de Nostradamus. From this he has been actively working to prevent some of the deadlier prophecies from taking place. He has heard of prophecies dealing with Armageddon and the Second Coming. He has taken a leadership role of the Conjurors

Zamoran Order of the Star Sapphire- The Controllers established the Darkstars, the Guardians of Oa established the Green Lantern Corps, and Vril Dox II of Colu would establish the L.E.G.I.O.N.. The Zamorans would establish the Order of the Star Sapphire, with one order, "Love as thou wilt...". From this order, the Zamorans established an interspecies coalition to "embrace all forms of love". They are considered missionaries who spread a message for tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality, inter-species congress, and BDSM (sado-masochism). Because of this precept, rape is considered the most deadly heresy. This also includes forced intimacy and acts against underaged minors and non-sentient beings. They have been given Star Sapphire Power Rings to enforce their precepts and philosophy. As such, their presence has certainly sparked outrage amongst more conservative cultures.

They have established since 1976, temples in San Francisco, Metropolis, Paris, Bangkok, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Rio de Janeiro. Known members of the Zamoran Order are Dela Pharon (Xanadorian alien who established the Zamoran Order on Earth) ; Carol Ferris (which has certainly caused problems with the Followers of Ion); Deborah Camille Darnell (Zamoran Order priestess for the planet Pandina); Selena Kyle (whose affairs with Bruce Wayne-Luthor a.k.a. "Batman" sparked headlines)and USAF Lt. Jillian "Cowgirl" Pearlman (which put the order into conflict with the Green Lanterns of Earth).

John Law a.k.a. Tarantula- In 1940, physics student John Law, at Bludhaven University, when a series of radiation experiments took place. During these experiments a spider was struck and genetically-altered by gamma radiation. It would suddenly bite the poor and hapless John Law causing him to develop metahuman powers similar to those of a spider, including the ability to climb walls and shoot organic webs from his hands.

By 1943, he was considered a major celebrity with a major story with photographs in Life magazine. This was tragically the period when he lost his beloved girlfriend Catalina Flores. In 1944, he would team up with the Grey Ghost to stop a series of murders that stretched into Gotham City. That same year he fought alongside the All-Star Squadron when they were transported by Akhet of Proxima Centauri to battle for gladitorial combat. Upon his return arrival on Earth, he discovered that his suit had been transformed into a symbiotic parasite, which nearly killed him. Unfotunately in 1948-1949, J. Edgar Hoover called for a major crackdown on "mystery men" calling the Tarantula a "menace to society and youth at large". He would be invited to join the Justice Society of America in 1950, but would refuse, citing "family needs".

He would retire from the superhero profession, becoming a successful attorney, and eventually become a federal judge in 1962 and later publish an autobiography under a pseudonym in 1978 titled Altered Egos (Ballantine Press). In 1984, Law, a retired writer and former federal judge revealed his identity, ending one of history's biggest mysteries.

Brian O'Brien a.k.a. "the Clock"- (b. November 12, 1936-?) O'Brien is a time traveler from the city of Chicago, Illinois who on September 9, 1966 who discovered the ability to travel through the time-space continuum via a family clock. Unfortunately, they could never determine when or where they would appear. With his friends Joanna "Butch" Lumley and David "Pug" Brady would attempt to chart the way home. Starting in 100,000 BC, the group would encounter Trigon and his forces scounting Earth. In 250 BC, the group ended up in the Kingdom of Qin, nearly sparking a civil war. In 1847, they helped Harriet Tubmann with the Underground Railroad. In 1889, he prevented Jack the Ripper from killing journalist Nellie Bly. In 1912, O'Brien failed to prevent the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic. In 1957, he accidently let a 25th-century telepath crash into a diner in Milwaukee, Minnesota. In 1978, the team prevented an alien invasion in Cliffport, Maine. In 2121, he accidently had the clock stolen by a group of cybernetic thieves. In 2193, they ran afoul of fellow time-traveler Rip Hunter in Washington D.C.

Here is probably one of the most controverisal and horrific characters:

Steve Thomas a.k.a. "Agent 6" a.k.a. "Captain Shazam"- On October 31, 1967, the "Freedom Force" of the 1st Infantry Division special forces unit, under orders from General Wade Eiling was ordered into the Cambodian ruins at Angkor Wat. While there they were captured by Khmer Rouge forces and used as part of a mystical "binding" ceremony. In that moment, Capt. Simmons; Cmdr. Harvey, Lt. Anderson; Lt. Zimmerman, Lt. Abernathy and Lt. Martinez were bonded into a composite being, known only to the President and the Joint Chiefs of Staff as "Agent 6". Starangely enough, the initials of the soldiers involved spelled out the name of SHAZAM. From 1967-1973, classified reports have "Agent 6" in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. The CIA and the U.S. Defense Department later utilized "Agent 6" in "blackbag operations" in Greece (1974), Bolivia (1975), Zaire (1975-1978), Libya (1981-1989), Iraq (1990-1991), et al.

A Forgotten Hero

Cliff Steele a.k.a. "Steel"- In 1854, Professors Niles Caulder, John Murray Spear and Frank Reade created the "iron homonculus" a.k.a. "machine messiah" in Lynn, Massachusetts. The group had been part of a occult group called the "Band of Electricalizers", who believed that a machine being would be a signal of a "new era or peace". The being was named "Cliff Steele" to grant it a semblance of humanity. Steele is credited with protecting President Abraham Lincoln from a Confederate kidnapping effort in 1862. Cliff Steele served in the Union Army along with the 54th Massachusetts Colored Regiment until 1864. In 1869, he battled against Captain Nemo and his campaign to disrupt the world's shipping. In 1870, he was with Jules Verne when the first lunar launch was made by the Baltimore Gun Club. In 1872, he became a legal assistant and drinking partner to Bartholomew Alouyosius Lash a.k.a. "Bat Lash". In 1876, he battled against the bounty-hunters Jonah Hex and El Diablo. In 1889, he discovered the secret identity of "Jack the Ripper" in London, and its link to Vril Dox II of the L.E.G.I.O.N.. In 1896, he served with future president and Swamp-Thing Theodore Roosevelt at San Juan Hill. In 1908, he disappeared during a case involving the Tunguska, Siberia blast.

He was not heard from again until 1981, during the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, in the basement of the U.S. Patent Office. Cliff Steele became an active memeber of the Doom Patrol, upon its formation in 1989. He was also essential in helping Swamp Thing acquiesce to modern society. He is also one of the few beings aware of the mechanations of H.A.R.D.A.C. since 2001. He has acted as an advisor to the Teen Titans since 2003.

Andrea Thomas a.k.a. "Isis"- American female archaeologist Andrea Thomas was part of an expedition sponsored by the Thomas Cameron Foundation in the region of Luxor in 1976. At one point she uncovered strange writings on an obelisk, saying, "Oh zephyr winds that blow on high, lift me now so I can fly". Upon reading this , she was immediately transformed into the Egyptian goddess, Isis. With her unknowing love interest, Professor Rick Mason, Thomas began a career of fighting crime in Fawcett City. Upon her arrival in the United States, the deities Nephtys and Set were unleashed on Egypt, sparking international attention in an effort to destroy Isis. Fellow professors Cindy Lee and Renee Carroll would maintain the secrecy behind Thomas' activities for many years. In 1981, it was revealed that Professor Rick Mason was an avatar for Osiris, who had attempted to reach through time to reunite with his beloved after 5,000+ years. Unfortunately in 1986, an insane occult practitioner caliming to be Anubis killed the "false-Osiris" and vowed to kill the "false-Isis". Distraught with the death of her beloved, she became obssessive and violent, leading to her leading the Army of Bana-Mighdall in 1989 on Themyscira in its war against present-day. She appeared again 2002, in Los Angeles, CA sparking a major battle with police authorities.

One That Everyone Was Waiting For!!!

Col. Thomas "Tommy" Monaghan, USMC, Section 8- General Wade Eiling had many allies witihin the United States Marine Corps, including two 1991 Gulf War veterans, Lt. Thomas "Tommy" Monaghan and his loyal second-in-command, Lt. Natt "the Hatt" Walls. In 1997, they were assigned the thankless job of forming a "black-bag" unit whose specialty would be the elimination of "rogue metahumans". As an added layer of deniability, after the 1987 assassination attempt on Kal-L a.k.a. Superman, was forced to utilize the psycholgical wards and prisons of the U.S. military to prevent any direct link to the brass. Based out of Belle Reye, Louisiana, the unit reports only directly to Eiling and the President. Members of the unit include:

*Sixpack: Team leader, whose special ability is grotesque drunkenness and beating villains with broken-off liquor bottles.

*Bueno Excelente: An obese, sweaty, and bald Latino in an overcoat who "defeats evil with the power of perversion." Generally, the only thing he says will be "Bueno", often preceded by a creepy chuckle. It is strongly implied that he violated Kyle Rayner a.k.a. Green Lantern III in some way.

*The Defenestrator: A large, burly man in a denim jacket, black sunglasses, with black hair who obsessively carries around a window through which he forcefully throws criminals and the occasional unlucky policeman. He has come under the attention of H.A.R.D.A.C.

*Dogwelder: A thin, silent man in a welder's mask who spot welds dead canines to evildoers, resulting in extreme burns and general horror. The question of how exactly one can weld a flesh and blood animal to a person is not answered by the series.

*Friendly Fire: A large, hapless man in a red cowl, he would easily be the most powerful of Section 8's heroes if he were to shoot anything other than allies with the potent bolts of energy he fires from his hands

*Jean de Baton-Baton: A bizarrely gaunt walking French caricature who defeats enemies with "the power of Frenchness," as expressed by savage beatings with a baton and occasionally blinding others with rings of garlic and onions.

*Phlegm-Gem: A sickly, thin, bald man in a green suit and a purple domino mask who has the ability to produce and expel large volumes of phlegm, which blind, suffocate, or simply gross out evildoers.

*Shakes: A thin, hairy vagrant who upsets people through stutters and an overall shaking palsy; frequent target of Friendly Fire.

Okay people, I know you're out there, I was wondering if any of you have any more ideas for the Earth-53? I can certainly keep churning stuff out, but I would certainly like to hear from you. No idea is too weird or blasphemous ...just remember that we have a Teddy Roosevelt Swamp Thing!!

Prehaps the thing to do Bondoc is to tone down the setting. You alone are dominating the thread. Prehaps It would be better to take what we've done so far and hone that done into siginficant plot lines that have happened and clear up as much of the cosmology as possible, instead of just hinting at it. For example I've started hinting at the thrid and fourth generations in my last posts and hundreads of generations into the future with others. What are the cornerstones of DC-53 and what can we do with it to make them set and concrete?

Don't worry, I certainly plan to tone things a bit. If anything, I certainly hope that people will be able to add some interesting new items to the ATL. In typical 24 or Heroes fashion, here is a quick recap:
