The Northam war: 1861 to 1872

Imagine if the Trent Incident during the AMerican Civil war led to British Imperial intervention on behalf of the Confederate States of AMerica in 1863.

Queen Victoria and the British prime minister find themselves sending British troops to support a slave holding faction of eleven states against a faction of 26 states powered by a massive industrial base and a solid agricultural base that is at that point trying to liberate said slaves.

The weapons the Union is using are more advanced even than the British weapons (The henry repeater versus the "Brown Bess", Ironclad warsips with turrets and parrot guns versus wooden ships with muzzle loaded cannons)

Regardless, they are commited to a war on behave of a noxious slaveocracy, at the end of a long and tenuous supply line, and as the war drags on the British People are starting to grow very tired as year after bloody year, Britian's money, effort and blood goes to a war in North America to support a curropt human rights-deaf leadership of racist aristocrats.

Veterans of the war return as broken men shellshocked and some of them driven insane and finally a peace is brokered in Paris, that promises British withdrawal in 1870.

In 1872 Union Forces take Richmond ending the war and Uniting the U.S. once again under "Uncle Linkum" as the liberated slaves call the Union President.

So what would be the effects of that?
