I was making a map earlier using the links in the OP and noticed that, among other things, the Venetian island possessions for the entirety of their existence are, putting it kindly, all over the place. Only 2 maps were close to being right and most just seem to have a random collection of island possessions that Venice had at some point in time and completely ignoring what the Venetians actually possessed at any given date. On top of that, their possessions seem to be randomly assigned to the Ottomans in a manner that isn't even consistent between dates and Rhodes suffers the same fate. Lastly, the maps also seem to just ignore the fact that Ferrara passed to the Papal States in 1597.
I don't know if this has been patched already but with that in mind, I've put together a series of patches for Venice's island possessions from 1250-1688 with changes for Rhodes and Ferrara as well.

Green: Great Fulo
Yellow: Bambara
Dark gray: Kaabu
Orange: Mane
Senegal states from north to south: Trarza, Bundu, Futa Toro, Wolof, and what actually should be three nations - Saloum, Baol, and Sine
State between Bambara and Kaabu: Futa Jallon
State southwest of Bambara: Kong
State east of Bambara: Dendi
State directly south of Bambara: Mossi
State southeast of Kong: Bono State
State east of Bono: Dagbon

Damn, I'll be sure to take these into account when i get around to doing the other maps.
Thread has been a little slow recently so I’ll throw this in here. A map of officially Marxist-Leninist states in 1968. Plus the insurgencies in Laos, Cambodia, and the civil war in Vietnam. Considering that Yugoslavia is here, I should have put all of the socialist nations of ‘68 on here including many in Africa but I was short on time so this isn’t necessarily a perfect category. Drew all the Soviet subdivisions below the SSR level by hand so no doubt they are utterly imperfect and will not match up to renditions done previously. But I did it to the best of my ability so I hope they’ll suffice. I plan to expand this to a world map of 1968 though, so stay tuned.

only issue i can see rn is that Chongqing should be a part of Sichuan, still.
I believe that Guangxi should also be coloured as autonomous.
I really can't understand why the US complained so much about Cuba being communist being so far away...
Anyways, great map, however here's a small quirck. Macedonia should not be coloured light as it was its own Republic, while Vojvodina should be colored like Kosovo, having a similar status.
Oops, another nitpick: France didn't have regions at this point, they were still departments.
Yeah this is result of me lazily using a 2020 reference map and not double checking for a few nations. I’m gonna look over each now and make corrections.
It was South Yemen rather than east, actually.
Idea of this as an ISOT map is pretty funny, with Cuba and South Yemen moving.
