The Redeemed Black League and the USSC?
The Redeemed Black League: The remnants of Omsk that managed to outlast Tabby's regime by hiding out in their Plan Hydra bunkers.... With them having become even more twisted beyond description by the experience. With them concluding that before they can even think of combating the Teuton menace, they must cleanse the country by launching a Great Trial on Russia itself first... By purging every Russian that is not pure and worthy first... Meaning that they will try to kill anyone that was not already born into the Black League. With some people outright comparing them to the Enclave from Fallout 2. Just replace 'mutants' with 'tainted by Germans'.

USSC: United Siberian Salvation Committee, a regime based out of Kamchatka. Take Petlin's Americanophile tendencies up to 'Ayran Brotherhood' level. With their end goal literally being to get the United States to outright annexed Russia as an overseas territory, since they think that it will be the only chance that the Russian people will have at salvation and freedom.

I was asking how the people you mentioned are seemingly trying their best to prove the two factions right.

and to a lesser extent Poland
Wait, what do third worldist activists think of Poland? I definitely think that western historiography of the Holocaust downplays Polish victimhood and exaggerates Polish collaboration but I don't recall third worldists really having any opinion on Poland.

Populist Komi San is the best Korea.
Serov: I see... The infiltration of Komi by the vile Korean Hereditary Reactionaries that undermined our glorious Soviet Revolution is even worse than I feared!
“When Korea sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. But worst of all, they’re sending them here to destroy our motherland. They plot and plan vile and cruel schemes alongside other Hereditary Reactionaries to bring down the Russian people! Join with me, and we shall make the Soviet Union great again!”

I've seen people(both tankies and "libsocs" intrestingly enough: whereas third-worldist discourse tend to be the domain of tankies as far as the US is concerned; Canada is the other nation with tankie-libsoc overlap of this discourse) say that Poland's horrific right wing culture and history of past collaboration means it shouldn't exist at all as a nation.

That and the fact that they're seething over how the poles smashed back the Bolsheviks in the Polish-Soviet war, thereby denying them their fantasy of a possible post-WW1 "world revolution".

Well more blame could be put on the social democrats for strangling the Spartacist revolution in the crib that rather than the Poles, as well as New Deal and social democracy in general giving rise to a middle class. The interesting thing is that the growth of reverse exceptionalist thinking that a vocal chunk of twitter MLs deem to the the empirical theoretical truth have the social democracy movement to thank for revolution, for good or ill, not spreading to the west and subsequently this idea emerging.

Third worldism and reverse exceptionalism is essentially an explanation developed to explain or rationalize why revolution tended to be outside the imperial core and why rather than revolution in the global north, there was a strong welfare state buttessering prospective radicalism and giving birth to a middle class not intrested in radical ideas at best or at worse, why there was descent into utter barbarism that marked the worst aspects of Anglo-European colonialism now "applied" onto Europe itself on the part of Nazism, it's bascically the Leninists demolishing the chessboard when it became clear that victory of the revolution in the imperial core(in the sense of the global north embracing marxism or some sort of Kaiserreich esque situation with a strong internationale operating in the global north and the global south) by way of the vision envisioned by Marx/Engels proved to be out of their reach.

I think Komi socdem route is underrated. It can be greatly satisfying since after Vozenensky leaves the country changes from social democratic to democratic socialism. All his reforms to privatise the economy seems to grind to a halt after Yakoklev takes over.

Vozenensky is a crook, and in true TNO fashion he is also shown as someone using these methods to help the people, so he is not as bad as people usually think.

Herr Himmler: "We may not see eye to eye on most things, and we may come from different places, but it's good to see that at least we tend to arrive to the same conclusions!"

The irony is priceless, an onion article couldn't have achieved better.

That does make sense. Come to think of it I did see some of that with Jacobin's review of Timothy Snyder's Bloodlands, which basically amounted to 'the Soviets did nothing wrong in Poland because of Polish collaboration with the Nazis'. I think it's interesting that playing up Polish collaboration benefitted both sides of the Iron Curtain- the Soviets because it legitimized Soviet rule over Poland, and the west because they don't have to feel so bad about letting Germany overrun Poland.

Russia and Ostland writer here!

No.

It’s more akin to the modern day PRC in my opinion. It’s a police state with heavy surveillance but it’s not oceania level dystopian.
Perfect! Thank you for responding!

What would be the closest nation? I thought about Burgundy, but they didn't seem to fit.

Trying to tar the Polish Home Army resistance as "Collaborationists" was also done by the Soviets, to vindicate them essentially honouring the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact for one final time when they enabled the Germans to crush the Warsaw uprising, which itself had also meant breaking the back of the non-Communist Polish resistance thereby allowing Stalin to more smoothly transfer authority of the nation to his Communist running dogs.

Is there an option in any way vaguely similar to Oceania, or not really?
I don't think the devs made a clear cut allusion for Oceania. At least, it could be said that there are vague resemblances that are spread out to multiple nations/options. Like how Zykov, Stalina and Pokryshkin are altogether analogous of Putinist Russia in some respects, to an extent. I suppose something likewise for Oceania could be said for Burgundy (for obvious reasons) as well as the currently content-empty Birch path for the British Commonwealth wrt to the actual location, authoritarianism and the "English Socialism" ideology.

There was a post arguing that the SBA's military dictatorship path fits as it's a system of collective leadership full of cynics who truly do just want power rather than being committed to any ideology.

Okay, I did the Russian Empire under Vladimir, and it was such a nice change from England. I didn't try to make a perfect Russia so much as a historically accurate Russia, so I went with the conservative democrats. I got what I expected, a Russian Empire straight out of Victoria II, but with a post-apocalyptic twist. I'd recommend the run, it's uplifting but feels very grounded and far from a perfect society. It wasn't my favorite run, it felt a little bit bland, but it was leagues better than Harold Wilson. At least the focuses weren't misspelled.

Doing Serov next.

I always go for Shulgin

Did you take his liberal or conservative route?
