Well, if anyone is interested within this, I did write a bit of a little continuation of the story of Steve titled: "An Evening in Arkhangelsk" on the reddit. Half tempted to continue it but not a lot reviewed or at least replied since it was posted in the middle of the night. Anyone interested in the link?
You bet im interested, please by all means send me the link

I'm going to break the mold and say something positive about Vagner and his crew: they're probably the most self-aware Nazis in the setting. They understand that Nazism is nothing more than an excuse for the strong to brutalize the weak, and their state is dedicated to nothing but that concept. Moreover, they're arguably the best sports about it all, and have no particular issues with the Germans brutalizing them because they accept the Germans as stronger. It's very Khornate, one might say.
Dude, you fucking nailed it. I will confess, despite or maybe because of how disgusting and loathsome they are, I cannot help but be somewhat fascinated with the Aryan Brotherhood.

I think its because of how creativity twisted and evil they are, as their bizarre version of Nazism is really something that could have only existed in a hopeless, war-torn wasteland. Aside form the AB being rather upfront with their intentions like you mentioned, Gutrum Vagner is also, in my opinion, the true evil counterpart to Valery Sablin, as once you get passed the obvious ideological differences both men have quite a few things in common.

They are both young warlords in their twenties that rouse to power in extraordinary circumstances, have won the hearts and minds of their followers with promises of a new utopian(for them and their followers) vision of Russia, look up to an extremely influential leader that codified a new radical ideology in the minds of the public(Hitler for Vagner, Lenin for Sablin), use the ideologies popularized by the aforementioned leaders to create a new variant of it from whole cloth and are unlikely to unify Russia unless they are player controlled.

Of course the big difference between the two is that while Sablin sincerely wants to create a better world for all Russians even at his worst, Vagner is a twisted little man who wants to transform Russia in a dystopian hellscape where the weak and vulnerable are nothing but playthings to "Aryans", he is worshiped as the second coming of Adolf Hitler and Russia joins the Unity-Pakt as an equal member of the so-called Aryan Master Race(the latter is extremely unlikely but since when has basic sense has stopped Vagner from doing anything?).

Bit more on Canada.

So what do any of you suppose will happen once Ostland reaches maximum devastation? I heard that the OCW could turn 12-sided, yet that was a long time ago and may or may not be outdated.

So, I don't know if Magnimik is reading this, but this is directed to him and anyone else who knows stuff from the NTS

I adopt a vision that you have waves of ideologies coming on certain times, different waves that brings different ideologies that are similar by nature, for example, communism and fascism comes from a totalitarian wave from the early 20th century, while at the same time we had a wave of liberal revolutions and so on forth

Can we say that the NTS was not part of a fascist wave, but instead it came from the 1930s wave of populism with figures like Huey Long, Perón, Kai Chek, Vargas and others? All of these had some similarities with fascism without being fascist, while the NTS had some similarities with fascism too, so is this a accurate representation?

I wonder if each warlord has a proper counterpart. I know that Taboritsky stands in sharp contrast to both Rurik II and Alexander Men, but are there counterparts to warlords we've just never considered? Who would be Yazov's opposite, for instance?

I dont think yazov has any real oppisites. Any anti-yazov would need to be
1. Pro recocilliacion with germany
2. Somewhat benevolent
3. Not racist
I cant think of any warlord that meets all 3 conditions

Men is isolationist, isn't he? That's about as close as you can get to reconciliation while not getting to warlords who fail the other two hard.

Vologda would kind of fit from what we know of them, though it's more pacifism/neutralism than pro-German

Well, I know what my next Stellaris game is now :p
The regional and super-reagional focus trees for Zhdanov's United Soviet Federation:

I just want to stress how AMAZINGLY cool the designs of the focus icons are! You know what all that blue lighting effect that so many of the icons have reminded me of? ..... All the infamous 'lens flare' effect in JJ Abrams' Star Trek movies. Seriously, just go look up the aesthetics of the 2013 tie-in pinball machine based on the movies and I swear they fit might in! Though I have a feeling that the Federation from the Star Trek universe would not look upon Zhdanov's 'Ultravisionary Socialism' ideology with any sort of approval.
